I am thinking that many QB recruits are staying away because they hear that this is going to be Lewis' team. To quote Ash " Lewis means everything to us". Yes, of course the best teams grab a high rated QB each year, that is expected. But we are not there. If I was a decent middle of the road 3 star recruit which a lot of these QBs being considered are, why potentially get stuck behind Lewis for 3 or your 4 years. I think RU has a much better chance for a good QB next year (assuming we better our record from 2016)
I think that has nothing to do with it. Iowa State has a QB coming in who's rated as good as Lewis. 2-10 has way more to do with it than Jonathan Lewis. I actually don't buy that at all.
Not just ISU, I hear that argument about every QB that commits elsewhere. That QBs arent coming here because of Lewis. The same thing was said about Leary.
