How many senior starters in total will they losing as well? Trying to irrationally convince myself we have a shot next year :-)
Not that many, I don't think... they were a younger team that preseason previews were expecting to make a run in 2017, and they managed it a year early.
On offense, QB and all RBs return. In addition to the departure of Ross, they lose their 4th WR to graduation. They lose their LG to graduation, who looks to be the only Sr. in their OLine two deep. They also lose their starting TE.
On defense, Qualls departs the DLine, and they lose a backup DT in Turpin. They lose one of four starting LBs, who looks to be the only departing LB in the two deep. Biggest hit is in the secondary, as they lose all starters, I think.
The entire team should just declare for the draft! Come on Huskies, follow your dreams! You can do it!
Unlike USC players from the past who left early, the Huskers will not be taking a pay cut.
My first thought was, "Who cares about UConn?" My second thought was, "How on earth does UConn have 4 NFL-caliber non seniors?" Then I read a post saying how we may have a shot next season and thought, "Oh, those Huskies."
