I know this board has a love/hate relationship with this game and the actual playing field leaves something to be desired, but I think the idea of a Yankee Stadium bowl game is cool. My group and I took NJ Transit/ subway to this game and had a GREAT time.

Good experience. It was pretty funny to watch the folks from Iowa get around the Bronx. I helped a good amount. Talk about fish out of water.

I also had a great time at that bowl game. Of the 3 bowl games I attended this was one of my favorites since it was local. If I had to travel that year I could not have attended so I was happy with this. The weather was good. The Bar in NYC was good. The outcome of the game was very good.

Wasn't excited about the venue going in but it turned out to be an awesome time! The weather was amazing and the game was lots of fun. The previous year was played in freezing cold weather with mounds of snow shoveled off to the sidelines. So we got very lucky.

Exactly. I still have a bitter feeling for the Russell Athletic bowl. We were there about this time and it seems like we were the outcast relatives and had to clear out quickly to make way for the Huskers who were coming in for the New Years Day bowl game at the same stadium.
