Why do you have to get a license for each game. Wouldn't one for the whole year do?
You would think the town would work with in a situation like that. Significant fundraising opportunity lost.
The 50/50 is at a township level. Most likely reasoning is there is certain amount of time in advance in which it must be registered. The 2 week window probably did not allow for that. Considering RU saved 750K moving the game back and the size of the crowd meant you probably would only makecabout 10-12k, the loss of the 50/50 yesterday is not that big of a deal.I forget the whole explanation but it has something to do with getting the license for specific dates...a township or county rule.. the game was not scheduled to be home so the date was not in the license approval list. Thus no 50/50. I don't think this one is on RU
Town had nothing to do with Johnsons park. The Middlesex County Freeholders and Rutgers had differing opinions on who should get what share of money brought in and the Freeloaders were charging an insane amount of money to use the park. At least that's what I was told.Same town that shut down parking in Johnson Park.
Remember " For whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee ". Tuesday is Election Day !Town had nothing to do with Johnsons park.
