6-0

Let’s see how this non-conference slate matches up:

Elon
Utah Valley
Southern
Furman
Portland State
South Dakota
St Francis (PA)
Evansville
MSU
Indiana
Texas

I took the last three out of order but the point is, the first eight are stronger than ours but proof that even DUKE schedules cupcakes!

Every program schedules soft games.

Elon, Utah Valley (who I've actually been watching for three seasons) and Furman are considered top 150 teams by multiple computer programs.

Plus when you're playing neutral site game against Michigan State, playing in the PK80 and the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, you've earned the right to schedule soft games.

A 6-48 conference record over the last three years seems like a good reason to schedule some cupcakes. What's FSU's excuse?
They play in the ACC?

Actually FSU has a pretty solid OOC schedule. They played in a weekend tournament, can't help who else is in that. Kennesaw State looks like they may be bad and The Citadel is a poor matchup, but they play Florida, Rutgers, Oklahoma State and don't sleep on Tulane.

Russ, I was referring to the relative SOS between RU at 349 and FSU at 340.

Plus, playing in the B1G is no cakewalk either.

And when rebuilding a team it also happens....so it seems it happens no matter what.

Wins, baby.
Just get wins.

We are building a program.
Perception matters.
Have to have a decent record.
Much more important than building a good resume for post season play.

I don't really care who we play (as long as they are not high school teams).

I could understand the beef with our schedule from a season ticket holders point of view. Other than that, I see no reason to complain considering where the program was under Jordan.
