Wow, it is amazing how different things are now then they were just 6 qtrs. of football ago! It is refreshing to be a fan for once.

Even on the boards, the tone has changed and for the most part, everyone seems to be pretty satisfied with the coaching and direction of this program. This is not meant to call out anyone or to pat anyone on the back. I just have noticed over the past month or so, there is almost no negativity posted at all. Even when we see a recruit go elsewhere, it seems that we are now mature to know that our program no longer hinges on any single recruit and trust the staff to find someone that will replace them even if going out of state.

Anyway- it has made the board a pleasure of late.

I was one of those calling for Flood's head in the early stages of the MD game, (although it was via text to a friend not on the board) but the team finished strong and recruiting has picked up nicely. QB recruiting has been a big reason i think for the positive mood. I honestly feel we got the guy who will turn out to be the best of the 3 we were recruiting.

I admit with you the domineer has changed greatly. But you do know this coincides with a ban of a poisoner of the well who name will not be mentioned

That because the negatoids were banned. I am sure that helped as well. Just a guess. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

its a great time of year for college football fans. Everyone is 0-0 and anything can happen. We are experiencing another off-season where people don't give us the credit we absolutely deserve and there is a feeling among the supporters of this program that we will once again prove people wrong. We know the talent on the banks and the potential that exists.

A finally familiar schedule after playing something like 27 different teams in a row...

It is not easy to be good every year, but we do it. We aren't great, but we are consistently good and thats the foundation you need to take the next step.

guys- please, in no way was this even meant to bring up certain posters. just the oposit. there are some of the harshest critics still on the board and even they keep slightly guarded but not the criticism comes with a full description and thought as to where they see issues or concerns. We still argue and fight but much much more convo and no blanket fire him or he sucks or he isn't D1a etc...

I think that just like the program, we are growing as a fan base. Actually, one step higher...we are not a fan base growing for excitement about wins at any cost and a NC or nothing. We are a fan base poised to be damn proud of what we are creating. But also proud of how we do it.

Yep. Amazingly when things go relatively well, people are in a better mood.
