6 years ago Pikiell told us he'd build a program that we'd all be proud of

His guys all seem to buy in & are Team First players. When questioned about his last 5 minutes and offense running through him, Paul responds I believe all our guys touched the ball on those possessions. It wasn't about his play down the stretch, it was all about what the team did.

Coach Pike models this as great as anyone.
Gives all the praise/thanks to his assistant coaches for preparing the team, drawing up played, & then gives praise to players for executing & making the plays.

They are a Team of Good People

I hope beyond hope that he truly wants to remain here and will do for the long-term. The phones have to start getting louder with each year that passes by.

He makes good money compared to the other B1G coaches, and Rutgers has invested a lot of money into the facilities for him. Add the fact the RAC will see major upgrades and has to show the school is committed to him.

Pike seems to be very happy here and at 55 probably doesnt want to start over with a new program. Most rationally thinking people realize he has worked miracles here after what went on the last 30 years. I think he;s here until he retires

The true test will come when he hast to start replacing his highest level assistant coaches. The continuity in the coaching staff I’m sure has also played a major role in their success.
