7 foot 440 lbs lineman

the question is, can he bend low enough in his stance to out leverage the opposition?

I'd use him on the goal line as a tight end. Take two steps, turn around. QB throws a high pass only he can catch. Fall backwards. Touch down!

DefIntel needs to get down to 350 maybe his speed will improve but being handled by 2 OLS easily

This kids gets down to 350, most Div I schools will give him a serious look.

This kid could be the next Vince Wilfork or Gilbert Brown.

If he has good wingspan he could be a run stuffer/ 3-4 Nose Tackle who eats up blockers. Does need to lose weight though and improve his quickness. Can't teach size though!

Saw that yesterday - I am surprised that no one will take a chance on him.

He's not the bigest. Back when Schiao first became HC for RU, there was a kid from Rahway (I believe) who was 7'4"" and over 500 lbs. He wanted to come to RU, but was not recruited. I don't remember his name.

Put skates & bulky pads on him, give him a mask & a stick - jam him into the mouth of the goal for a Hockey Team -

When the use a sun dial to time your 40 opportunities are limited.

Roselle park had a real big kid back in the 90s If I remember right 6-11 or there abouts 400+ he sucked

If the kid wants to play I hope he gets a chance. Didn't Baylor have a about this size last year. Make a DT out of him if he can get into shape and get strong.

I wish the kid well and I appreciate his love of the game. But if he really wants to play at a high level (any level) he has to lose weight and be better conditioned.

From what I've seen, he's actually doing that. But on his own. Imagine him under a D1 program that can tailor his diet and his workout regiment for what he needs.

per :24 of the video. i presume you'd need to call time out each time he gets knocked down.

The same reason this kid will not get a scholarship is the same reason you don't offer any 6'2" 200 pound high school kid you see a scholarship to be your lock down corner. You actually have to be able to play the game.

Are you talking about Manny Yarborough? He died recently. He was a sumo wrestler.

Did not watch the video.
It's probably the least impressive highlight vid I've seen. First half of it is him going offside and knocking a guy over on a dead ball, followed by some guy and a lady unable to pick him up after a stretching(?) exercise, and it ends with 10 seconds of him walking off into the sunset.

In between there are a couple clips of him being blocked by 2 guys(spoiler, he does not make the tackle).

I played against him, he was huuuuuge. I believe his last name was Loneker or something like that. I don't remember how big a role he played in the game but I know it was as intimidating as hell seeing him when we got on the field.

That kid played in 89' he was huge, slow and not good at the time. I played center and he was a noseguard. He out weighed me by at least 70 lbs. He was intimidating as all heck. We started off by double teaming him, after just a few plays I looked at the guards and said I got this. Was too tall he was easily out leveraged, he used to come out of his stance straight up. He went on to Kansas on scholarship. I don't know what they feed him or he took, but he got real good. I'm talking a very brief NFL good.

Koleszar: That was not the same kid. The one I originally mentioned was around 2000 when Schiano first took over the program. He wanted to play for RU and even got help from a former guard for the NY Giants, Billy Ard, to train him. RU did not recruit him and he did not go to a D1 program after HS. This kid was about 500 lbs and over 7' tall.

That Baylor kid is 100X the athlete that this kid is....He actually plays TE for Baylor...Although its mostly on running formations He does have to be respected in the passing game as he has outstanding hands!! Saw a pregame video of him snagging passes one handed...Made it look so easy...

Yes I knoiw I played against Loneker not the kid you were talking about. Loneker was about 6'5" 300 lbs in high school at the same school but not the size of your kid. I was responding to WhoseBusisThat, sorry for the misunderstanding.

I wish the kid the best.
Hopefully a community college coach takes him under his wing and mentors him on life.
Turn him into a true scholar athlete.
I would have like to seen a mention of how good of a student he was.
He seems like a good kid who needs a chance to come out of his shell.

Division 1 is not for 99% of the high school athletes.
Here is hoping he matures and can lead a productive life with his size and frame.
