a 7:30 pm kick for the Maryland game, predicts MattSarz

For the sake of tailgating...

This is the blackout game (at least the team will be debuting the awesome black uniforms) so at night would be AWESOME. Better crowd than noon games too cuz people will be all tailgated-out and the students will be all waked up

Doesn't much depend on whether or not the wrestling is still scheduled for the stadium. A simple solution would be to reschedule for another date or have it in tbe RAC on the same day but not in conflict with the game. Or did I miss that part of the announcement.

Accu-Weather has a high of 60 and a low of 28!!

Maybe the extra hour is screwing up the forecast.

Wrestling match has no impact on game time.

Match start time will be announced after football game time is announced.

@RU848789 , I beg you to start a way too early weather thread for the Maryland game to calm the masses.

No, as trying to forecast 2 weeks out is just friggin' stupid, but I'll at least post climatological expectations: average high/low temps for 11/4 are 60/38F. That means, on average, daylight tailgating through about 5:30 pm, when it starts getting dark, shouldn't be outrageously cold, i.e., temps in the 50s, and temps in the evening would be dropping through the 50s into the mid/upper 40s by 11 pm.

If it's much warmer than normal add 8-10F to those numbers and if it's much colder than normal, subtract that amount. Problem is, "comfort" for most people in early November is much more dependent on precip and it's literally impossible to know if it's going to be dry for the tailgates and/or game this far out.

7:30pm would be great...we would actually have a shot at winning a night game for the first time in 3 years.

Please please please.

These recruits need to see the stadium rocking at night in a game we can actually win instead of it being half empty after halftime.

The more night games against beatable teams the better.

Either 3:30 or 7:30 would be great. Not understanding the big fuss about the temperature. If it's cold, dress warmly. If it's wet, wear rain gear.

Interesting. I just re read my post and I can’t find the line where I said it only rocks at night. Please highlight that for me because I want to apologize to you if I’m missing that in my own post.

For anyone not purposely being dense, I’m sure they got my point was, night games, overall, have a better atmosphere through out the game.

Right or wrong, the students are usually out in more force and more drunk. And I realize it’s November but a night game takes away any chance of it being Hot taking peoples energy away.

Of course the stadium can and does rock anytime of day during a good parts of the game. But a good night game can keep that vibe going almost the entire game

Wasn't Ohio State at night this year?

Which is why I said beatable teams in my post. Implying a game that should be competitive through out.

I wish, until we can compete with them, any game against Ohio St is at noon and as few recruits as possible show up

Ok how about Arkansas. Day game. Maybe the loudest its been since 2006.
What makes it exciting has very little to do with time of kickoff.

Overall that’s just wrong. There will be individual moments but for recruits and younger people night games create a better and more exciting atmosphere.

Take the exact same competitive game and play it in the afternoon or night and there will be more energy at night.

Now a lot of fans might like the 3:30 Stary better. And I get that

How is it wrong. WVU in the snow. Michigan St under Schiano. Arkansas. They were all awesome games. Playing at night adds nothing except getting home late.

night games..way better.. 12 noon games are the worst.
More Recruits can attend Saturday night games.
