If we are counting Jay Williams' phone call as an "interview"..I'm sure MUCH more than just 3 people have interviewed.

"Despite the interest and potential for a significant increase in salary, Lonergan is unlikely to leave GW for Rutgers at this point, sources said."
"Smith Center, George Washington's basketball arena, received a multi-million dollar facelift earlier this decade. However, the resources available to Lonergan and the team, including for travel, are thought to lag behind other Atlantic 10 programs."

Imagine that. A coach who will accept lower pay and sub par resources in comparison to peer programs. So, perhaps there is someone else like him who would not mind taking on the challenges at Rutgers.

GW still has a better facility, plus practice facility and a history of a stronger overall committment to hoops.

GW has a seating capacity of 4300 Rutgers has a seating capacity of 8000 plus

As far as practice facilities I would assume that new practice facility to be built with $25 million of state funds plus about $10 million of donations will be at least as good as GW's if not better.
Now the RAC has an AC(system),and I would not doubt that the locker rooms in the RAC will be upgraded in the near future.

Also in the sports strategic plan the front end of the RAC will be pushed out to include for more seating ,a much better lobby, the outside ofthe RAC will made to look like the the new practice facility and new bathrooms and concession areas will be added. While all this work should have been done decades ago,it is on the way.Hopefully,Lonergan will like this stuff plus extra funds for recruiting and better assistant coaching staff and a $2 million dollar to start package.
