Not much to disagree on. I would pick Mike Caruso ahead of Mills. Mike only lost once in college and that was when he bumped up a weight. He beat the same kid from Michigan in the NCAA finals three years in a row. Suriano was 2nd team at 133 and Ashnault honorable mention (3rd team) at 141. I would place Ashnault at second team over McKenna. What do you think?

Weight Name Years Active Hometown College
125 Gene Mills 1977-81 Pompton Lakes Syracuse
133 Darryl Burley 1979-83 Pemberton Lehigh
141 Kellen Russell 2008-12 High Bridge Iowa State
149 Darrion Caldwell 2007-11 Rahway NC State
157 Jordan Burroughs 2007-11 Winslow Township Nebraska
165 Donny Pritzlaff 1998-2001 Lyndhurst Wisconsin
174 Chris Campbell 1974-77 Westfield Iowa
184 Myles Martin 2016-19 Penns Grove Ohio State
197 Damian Hauhn 2001-04 Lakewood Minnesota
285 Steve Mocco 2002-06 North Bergen Iowa/Oklahoma State

Think they shoulda just done lineups from last 20 years only bc it’s hard to see footage from someone that wrestled in the 70s...and we really don’t know much about them besides their name and record...

Id go McKenna over Ash 41( he has h2h win over ash). If they both wrestled 149 tho I’d taken senior season Ash... he became a completely diff animal that year .

It looks like the rankings are based on college records only. Rutgers does have one of our coaches on the team. As a college team Rutgers recently become relevant. The list better include Rutgers grads 10 years from now.

Russell was a 2x champ and 3x AA at 141 so that spot is his. I question 149 but don't know the criteria they used. How do they have Caldwell ahead of Ashnault; is it because Caldwell wrestled that weight 3 seasons and Ashnault 1? Caldwell is a 2x AA and 1x champ, whereas Ashnault was a 4x AA and 1x champ. I'd put Ashnault first team at 149 or 2nd team at worst.
