Ambrosio kicks one in Cotton Bowl

I'm going to go ahead and disagree with you and cover my arse--Ambrosio was probably talking about the Green Wave and that the turf/grass grows nicer and greener down in Louisiana than in Piscataway. That's my take, and I will die on that greener grass hill.

EDIT--OK, I had to check his Twitter feed. Did not see anything like that. He's proud of being Italian, and a few weeks ago, he and Adam Scheier connected:

Ok..each is entitled to their own conclusion, but probably no way Ambrosio tagged Underwood just because of your reasoning. I looked about 20 minutes after my son told me and didn't see it either, but there is absolutely no reason for him to make something up like that. Somebody probably wisely suggested he remove it.

We’ve lost a bunch of linemen who left and contributed significantly at their new program. Off the top of my head … Jonah Jackson, Mike Maietti, Matt Rosso. I’m sure there are others.
Jonah Jackson was our best lineman and the only one to play in the BIG after leaving. He went to OSU so can’t really blame him. Maetti leaving is a head scratcher because he was undersized but played well for us. Not sure why he left other than didn’t want to wait around for a rebuild. You can add Futakasi to your list as he dropped a level and some said he was having a good season.

Maetti left for Missouri in the SEC. May have made the All-SEC team his final year.

Fatukasi is a rookie in the NFL, from last I saw. Maybe you meant CJ Onyechi? He transferred to Colorado State which is still FBS level.
Tunde Futakasi played for Bowling Green this year. We are taking OL.

Whelp, there goes that thought. My son told me Ambrosio tweeted "the grass is greener on the other side" or something similar, and tagged the aforementioned former WR coach. Sorry CranfordKnight, but if he did indeed tweet that, he just automatically made the d-bag list.

He DID tweet it & tagged Tiquan in it too. He has since, however, deleted it, which would lead me to believe it wasn't about the Green wave.
I'm sorry I didn't screen shot it.

That’s what I thought.
He got recruited over by the high school kicker from south Brunswick that isn't close to playing here..? or by Greg thinking having a Rugby FG kicker would go nicely with his rugby punter.. which beats his soccer player experiment?
( I think the current guy was brought in after Val. left) ..

Sorry, no respect for a kid who was plucked out obscurity from soccer team by Greg, groomed, then leaves. But I guess that’s the way it is these days.
But you have respect for a coach who was pluck out of obscurity, had a few good seasons but not a winning record then leaves, go to the NFL is exposed and then come back, collect 4 millions a year and is getting ran over by the rest of the league. Maybe the question is why is Rutgers the only place that would hire GS as a HC. You might not have any respect for the kid but at least he isn’t stealing $$$$

He turned this football program around, we were nationally relevant for once? which probably helped us get into the Big Ten. That deserves respect and a second chance to fix this situation in the Big Ten this time...

Only Greg is allowed to have “once in a lifetime” opportunities to better himself. Who cares it was February when most of the coaches were already hired. It’s Schiano… Kiss the Ring!

Yes it did!
Freaking made an unproven true frosh starting QB just to get him and his dad as OC here. Bonehead.
Sounds familiar...
Remember that well.
Was at the games that Chad was starting { and he did well considering } and then all of sudden Greg comes in and names the OC son Ryan Cubit the starting QB for the new season. Saw his first game and said WTF.

This board is getting ridiculous. All the bitching an whining. Go be fans elsewhere, it's exhausting.
LMAO at you.
I guess we should take our donations to RU football, season tickets, and recent NIL donations elsewhere.

Wasn’t it Schwenck who was QB for the Syracuse win?

There is a guy on here who did just that.

Not leave us completely but spreads it around to our recruiting competition.

It was politely suggested to him he might look need to look elsewhere. We were going in another direction.

I think it was actually Mike McMahon starting that game in 1999 if I recall correctly. Was at that game at Rutgers Stadium. Our only win of the season. Think the wind was crazy that day. Syracuse went on to win the Music City Bowl that year over Kentucky.
QB Schwenck did get screwed by Greg 2 years later …Chad played in 2020.

Just did the search, and this story refers to him starting the Suracuse game in ‘99. I vaguely recall McMahon being on the sideline with a shoulder sling.

By the way, I think you are mixing that game up with the 2004 game, which was the windy one that resulted in the equivalent of an onside kick for RU because the kickoff was held up in the wind, as well as a muffed punt.
