Announcer John Fanta's Electric Call of Wild Princeton-Rutgers Finish Felt Like March

Dylan was fouled
At that point in the game, and especially with how inconsistent the officials were, do what you need to to prevent the shot. Fair chance there will be no call at that point in the game unless the contact is really excessive, and worst case you send someone to the line to earn it. Basically, how Cincinnati played defense against our football team in 2006.

Derkack should have aggressively reached in on the previous play, too, and dared the ref to make the call.

Especially because pu was horrible at the line

I would like to see a replay of Harper’s shot at the end . Haven’t seen one and Fox cut away

Yet one more example of how pike and the team were out coached / out smarted by Princeton

That's not necessarily coaching, but the "cagey veteran move".

Well that’s why I said “pike and the team”as I don’t know how much blame rests with the players vs the coaches but on both plays (dercack not playing him more aggressively/ no other RU defenders coming over to harass the PU kid and then the PU kids being VERY physical with Harper on the last shot knowing it would take a lot for the refs to call a foul there). In those instances - is the blame on the kids, the coaches, some combo. Either way PU played it correct on both ends and we didn’t.

Ultimately on further reflection I think the balance of the blame does rest with the coaches….players aren’t born knowing what to do in those instances- they are TAUGHT

I'm gonna be sick. Again.

Agree. He was definitely fouled. But unlikely to be called. If it was a Michigan kid coming down the court against Rutgers it’s called 100% of the time.
