Don't worry, any recruit worth their salt will be pursued by other programs and when LOI day rolls around, the majority of those recruits sign on the dotted line to the school that they committed to.
Don't think those other schools didn't notice Anthony before , Russo has talent and don't think those other schools you're worried about didn't know it.
It was just that he wasn't as high on their charts as some other QBs they were after.
Same with Rutgers, but Flood made sure AR knew he had a place at the table anytime he wanted it.
Rutgers willl be keeping Russo ,in my opinion.
Those that feel otherwise, probably worry about every recruit that commits to RU, because of a lack of faith in the RU FB program many RU fans seem to have.
Dude it was 3 people who called me that and I'm pretty sure I've made it clear what my background is and where I stand with everything. I've always been openly a penn state supporter but a Rutgers graduate. Not my fault that you can't understand that people CAN support both schools.
When Russo tweets about winning championships at Rutgers like Weigers and Blacknall... then worry.

There are a number of reasons why AR will stick besides the fact the kid is good for his word. 1) The major teams already have their QB just like we have ours, 2) This is the offense he wants for himself, a pro style offense and 3) he's has to believe he can start early which he probably can.
Correct, Rivals rankings often work in a vacuum. That's why they suck.

Why do people still care about rivals ratings? 247 has proved to be the most accurate time and time again. They update more frequently and they also provide composite score to go along with their own score on each recruit.
If Russo is better than Nova and Teel, he can bring Rutgers to a new level and make our offense more exciting.

No, that is what butthurt fans said to make themselves feel better when he chose tenn. When comparing him to Russo, Russo is the more complete, college ready prospect right now but JG has more upside. Realistically JG needs a good redshirt year and at least another year after that to sit and learn, he could be a monster though if he reaches his potential.
For comparison, JG is like Colin Kaepernick, can be devestating and impossible to stop at times but at others ur left scratching your head... Russo is your Alex Smith type, reliable, smart with the football, a game manager. Russo doesn't have the arm that JG has but when you watch both of their tape, Russo doesn't force throws and takes what the defense gives him, lots of checkdowns, etc. JG tries to play hero a bit too much, has some brett favre/tony romo in him with forcing throws.
Encouraging to hear he is performing well in tee shirts and shorts. But I'll wait untill the film comes out of him making good throws & decisions under legit pressure. HIs junior highlight film was all throws from a clean pocket to wide open receivers. Happy to have him but not excited yet

We don't need someone trying to force the throws. Nova was like that and at times he was a hero but other times hurt our game. Russo is a better fit.

They are nothing a like outside of that they play the same position. Alex Smith was a much more mobile, smaller guy with a weaker arm.
AR is much bigger, not as mobile outside of the pocket, and has a bigger arm.
Alex Smith is/was more of duel threat qb who ran a spread offense at Utah under Urban Meyer. AR is a classic pro style drop back passer who will excel in a pro set offense that RU runs. He would never fit into a spread offense that would require the QB to run, like Meyer implements.
You couldn't be wrong, but I doubt that will stop you from demonstrating it, so keep at it.

There are some kids who still believe a verbal commitment is a deal and based on his statement to SI that's this kid. There was no reason for him to state what he stated in a major publication. Who's the big time programs? Not many left that are not situated at QB and many don't play the offense that we do which is a perfect situation for this kid. This kid will end up honoring his word because that's who he is.
If the only players that will excite you are those that are one of the top 5 or higher at their position, then you might want to stop following this recruiting thing.
RUsmrtr says he's a proud Rutgers guy, yet in a thread welcoming a new commit, his response is "who's that?" He's either the worst Rutgers "fan" ever (makes RUChip look like RutgersAl) or he's a PSU troll. Plenty of people graduated from RU being fans of other teams.
