Anyone watching this Minnesota game vs. Oregon State?

3 in all on Minny. There was at least one in the Tenn game too. I get the feeling it's going to be a big issue this season.

This "targeting" rule has gotten ridiculous. I understand tossing a safety who goes to the head on an exposed WR. That's targeting. But, the last Minny DE (who is awesome BTW) who was tossed actually hit the QB in the shoulder and then managed to hit the helmet. I thought it was a terrible call but the announcers seemed to agree that it was targeting. Who knows. I agree it's going to be a big issue this year and chances are that every team will have an issue with it at some point.

Don't mean to be argumentative but that was an easy call. The DE hit the QB late and it was helmet to helmet, not helmet to shoulder. Bottom line, they need to get the helmet hits out of the game or there won't be a game at some point.

As an aside bitnez, how much did that kid remind you of Turay's Redshirt Freshman season? Tall, lanky, first year DE who looks like he's shot out of a cannon every snap. That dude terrorized the Oregon State QB.
