April 26, 1948, 73 years ago today, WRSU begins broadcasting to RU, New Brunswick dorms around the College Avenue Campus. This makes it one of the oldest college stations in the country, and one of the few still on the air from that time period. They started as an AM station, converting fully to an FM station by 1976. Still broadcasting in the area today, tune in to 88.7 FM 24-7.
