Over the past few weeks, these players that were high on our "get" list were either dismissed or left their teams.
There are plenty of threads discussing their transgressions and in those, there are so many different interpretations of their situations and terms for being signed by another school.
I have mine own which may also be wrong but would love to know if I understand them correctly. Hopefully, someone has the actual answer.

Mitchell: If he goes to anyone outside of the B1G he sits one and has 4 to play 4. If he were to go to a B1G team. He sits a year and loses a year of eligibility. This is where there seems to be a question. Does he lose a year of eligibility or does he actually have to sit for 2 years?
My take is that he sits a year, 2016 and can play in 2017 but would only have 3 years of eligibility left?

AQM: This is a NCAA violation, not a school violation. The penalty has to handed down by the NCAA and ALL schools at all levels in the NCAA would have to abide by them.

again, just want to have a clarification of both and not a discussion about them as people or players. Thanks.

Mitchell would be four for three here

Aqm should have been suspended a few games. Miami is under a microscope. It makes sense to just train and try to go pro for him. Same w jermaine grace.

Miami is allowing them to stay in school and graduate. Do they apply for a fifth year elsewhere? That's up to the advice those kids get.

what i have heard is some Miami players was friends w a guy that owned luxury cars and let them use the vehicles. The "bitter ex" of one of the players called compliance

AM - Based on this espn article he would have to sit one year and lose a year of eligibilty. So basically his RS cannot protect him while he sits. He could then begin playin in 17 with three years elibilty and his RS intact.

No rules based response from me.

That was my take on him as well. So, in a way, it would not be a huge hit on him if he went to a B1G school if he is as talented as many said coming out of HS. No different then leaving for the NFL draft as a RS Jr.

AQM was dismissed from the team as we all know. I'm with you though Yes, don't know what the NCAA punishment is. I would guess a year suspension aka the UNC players a few years back. And didn't Todd Gurley get a year suspension for improper benefits?

It may be a moot point. AQM has 2 years of eligibility...sits one to transfer and one for suspension = done. But not sure if that's the case?
