Brian Bennett on the ESPN/B1G blog has a Q&A today with Coach Ash. He said this about the Keep Choppin mantra:
Rutgers has had the whole "Keep Chopping" slogan for a long time. Do you plan to keep that?
Ash: Honestly, I haven't thought about it.
Are you a slogan guy or do you keep it more straightforward?
Ash: It's a combination. I'll be straightforward and honest and be who I am, but motivation is such an important part of our job. Those coaches who can get athletes to play for each other, give themselves up for their teammates and do things they weren't necessarily recruited to do are the ones that have success.
