B1G gets massive TV deal with FOX/ESPN

It's worth taking a beat down from the big boys for a couple of years to end up in this Super Conference. We know what needs to be done to keep the best in State to stay, and Ash and Company will get it done.Invest in the facilities, keep it close with the big boys, spring an upset or two, and recruiting will be even better than Coach Ash has already shown. The money the B1G will bring to us is amazing, and all they ask in return is to make sure we are relevant in the Tri-State area.

$440 million payout each year between the two contracts with Fox and ESPiN. And the BTN payout is on top of that. Anyone know how much the BTN pays the conference each year?

Thanks.

We need more than the B1G money. That puts us way ahead of the "others" in college. But we are no longer competing with the others. We are competing directly, head to head, every year, against the most storied programs in college sports. Those schools have massive budgets, far more than their B1G shares alone. We need to donate in addition to the shares. That is the only way we will truly be competitive at the highest level.

I wish people would stop looking at the B1G shares alone as a savior. Without the donations to match, we are competing with Indiana on a regular basis.

I'll take competing with Indiana in basketball on a regular basis. Heck, they won the regular season B1G Championship last year and their 2016-2017 season is shaping up to be another good one with a roster filled with talented players.
