If it wakes this team up then almost losing is a good thing
Are you happy being a miserable sob?
I assume the answer to this question is complicated and probably requires several years of intense therapy.
Agree. The B1G TV guys joked this is both teams Super Bowl. Not because the country cared but it will be key year in and out to getting a bowl game. We are 2-0 against a team that has had how many decades of B1G money and scheduling? Next week will be fun but Indiana is and will be more of a peer than OSU.Winning a close game to any Big Ten team is going to be satisfying. Most likely, our games against Maryland and Indiana will be significant for our bowl hopes for many years. Let's enjoy them. it was a beautiful game today.
Be HONEST, are you looking for a sports columnist job at the Star Ledger? With that winner of a thread title, you'd fit right in there. There's a simple answer to this simple question.
Wow, the bar is so low Flood will be coach for life.Happy to beat a team that went down to the wire against the #1 team in the country, doing so without their starting QB and losing their 2nd stringer during the game? Damn right I am.
Thanks for your input Mr. Moderator, lol. We beat another bad team in a close game and it's asshole-speak to be concerned about it. Maybe folks rejoicing over a win over Indiana is asshole-speak, lol.Yes, I am happy "almost losing" to a team ranked ahead of us.
Of course, "almost losing" is asshole-speak for "winning".
Indiana was favored against us, shocking...we squeezed out a win against the worst team in the league, shocking. This program hasn't gotten better since Flood took over, in fact we have regressed...if you can't see that then you have no bloody clue...and that's not ass-hole speak Mr. Moderator. If we could "almost lose" every week, tickets to games would be harder to come by. If going on the road and stealing a win against a favored conference opponent makes you unhappy compelling one to start a trash thread like this, then I believe he has no bloody clue what he's watching. And you too, for that matter.
Indiana was the better team and the better team won???? Hey coach Flood, I don't know if you're drunk and smoking weed or perfectly sober and up late proofing your players class work...either way, just be thankful that Indiana was our opponent today. Bad teams find a way to lose games, thankfully Indiana is as bad as we are...when you turn the ball over 3 times leading to 21 points when you're up by 25 points is clearly the work of a very bad team. I give our team credit for taking advantage of it but the folks I watched the game with were honestly saying, (when they were up 52-27), that they needed to keep scoring to win the game....unfortunately for them we were right, lol.Hey its a free anonymous message board where you can post anything and feel like a big shot!
Theres a complicated answer to a complicated question...
Rutgers had no business winning that game today...that qb shredded us apart and was non stop movin down the field...
We made two stops in their territory and got 0 points...
we missed 4 extra points and should have never even been tied! We were down 25 points in the 4th quarter which is 4 scores!!!!
And they clawed and fought and won the damn game!!!
More heart and character than anyone on this message board...
You better stand up and tip your hat and show some respect to Coach Flood, Chris Laviono, and that entire team...
Indiana was a better team today and the better team won...
That same team took the #4 team in the country down to the wire and if everyone wants to talk shit about the spike and how ridiculous it was well than we were supposed to win that game if not for the spike...
Well that same #4 team was outplayed today but won
Where does that put Rutgers?
The answer is #1 in all our hearts and if after today thats not the case than u are not apart of this program
Are you honestly "laughing out loud?"Indiana was the better team and the better team won???? Lol, seriously...my bad, Indiana is actually one of the best teams in the league, not just this year but every year...that's common knowledge.Curious...where did you read that IU was the worst team in the conference? Show your work.

Today's game was fun to watch, two not so good teams fighting tooth and nail for a win. I'm glad we won but we didn't exactly set the college football world on fire.
Kyle Flood has proven that we have atleast one conference win every year for the foreseeable future, thank you Indiana. Flood isn't Knute Rockne because we beat Indiana, although he may think he is.
I get it, football is a game of inches...so when you almost win it's the same as winning, and when the team you almost won against wins against any other team that counts as a win for us. Thank you for solving the riddle of my life. Are you happy almost beating MSU, who aost lost to Michigan...on the same day we almost lost to a team that almost won against the team we play next week??
LoL get a life.
Is it name calling and denigrating time already, how predictable.Seriously what is your damage you sad strange little person?
Yes I am, this board does that to meAre you honestly "laughing out loud?"
WTF is wrong with you that you can't savor an incredible comeback win on the road against a decent IU team? Do you have to point out our personnel and coaching flaws in every post for some psychotic reason? Do you not think most fans around here don't know we're a mediocre team?Is it name calling and denigrating time already, how predictable.
Wow, thanks for pointing out that we're a mediocre team 4 years into the Flood era...I've said repeatedly, I'm glad we won, just saying.WTF is wrong with you that you can't savor an incredible comeback win on the road against a decent IU team? You made backhanded comments about being glad we won that would make anyone suspicious of whether that's really true, especially since 99% of your posts were about denigrating our team, program, coaches, etc. I wanted Flood gone for the email scandal and loss of team discipline, but you don't see me saying that with every post or any post really - now's not the time for that, whih you simply don't seem to get. You can continue to spout negative crap after our best comeback win in effing 394 years and you'll continue to be viewed as a dbag for making such ridiculous posts. Your call.Wow, thanks for pointing out that we're a mediocre team 4 years into the Flood era...I've said repeatedly, I'm glad we won, just saying.
Really, ummm, ok.Okay, so I am interpreting your failure to produce any meaningful reaponse to be a tacit admission that you actually know very little about the conference, otherwise you'd have acknowledged that this was a win against a middle of the pack conference opponent, and not even close to the worst.
And so, the answer to the inane question posed by the OP is that I am happy "almost losing", aka winning, against a middle of the pack conference opponent on the road; particularly in the historical fashion that we did so. It was a great day and great game.
