If you think a new coach is going to magically win here next year , I have a bridge to sell you all.we still have some lingering mom and pop fans left....Ash will get rid of them eventually and hopefully the new hoops coach as well
I don't expect to win next year. i expect a coach to start rebuilding a real program. Sorry, that is not Jordan. If you think a new coach is going to magically win here next year , I have a bridge to sell you all.
I don't know how you guys do it, I've been on the Bball forum for two hours and i already hate my life.
If I had done this all season i would've jumped off the GWB

And the full roster team next year with Jordan as coach is a 12 win team
It's mind blowing but it's over.we still have some lingering mom and pop fans left....Ash will get rid of them eventually and hopefully the new hoops coach as well
What are "mom and pop fans."
Cannot disagree with your emphatic point on Eddie's lack of emphasis on defense . That will be his downfall and the reason he is let go. I thought with a full roster and guys not playing out of position and not worried about fouling out, things would change. But the games down the stretch they did not change , especially tonite. I thought the team tried hard, continued to listen to Eddie, except for tonite the lack of effort on defense and rebounding was outrageously bad. Tonite was the first night that not one player nor one coach gave a shit about losing the game. One last chance for the seniors to give it their all and the underclass men wanting to send them out going down fighting. Never happened !I don't expect to win next year. i expect a coach to start rebuilding a real program. Sorry, that is not Jordan.

The acceptance of mediocrity has been going on for decades because the total emphasis of the athletic department has been on football.damning commentary in post game on BTN about the acceptance of mediocrity and losing culture and working as hard as you can to change it....not a good look on Eddie even though they didnt mention his name
Who wouldn't have loved Eddie to work here. But it's best to start over now, not in 12 monthsCannot disagree with your emphatic point on Eddie's lack of emphasis on defense . We need a culture change first and then we need to recruit better , which is hard to do for a team with a 10 year straight losing record.
Very tough to be a Rutgers fan.
Football was our best shot to get into a P5 conference. It worked. Now the payback starts. The acceptance of mediocrity has been going on for decades because the total emphasis of the athletic department has been on football.
You keep on saying 8 and I consistently said 6-8 Big 10 wins , so at least get my posts right ! Second, early on I said Eddie has to change his ways on defense. I got a good back and forth going with RUChoppin , that Eddie had to pull the switch on defense. I cited Tom Crean and Indiana and how when decided to play defense and they stopped losing and they are the team that will be a tough out in the tourney. Ru Choppin didn't agree with the Crean analogy, but every Big 10 analyst has said ,what I said, that when they turned up the defense and commuted to it, they became dangeroushaha but yet you think it will win 8 games next year in league and be 500 overall with this team...its not about next year for me..most RU fans are willing to sacrifice a year for moving the program forward in the future
Nebby won 6 conference games this year...do you realize how much better we have to get to reach Nebby...11th place..and sorry Freeman/Johnson are not going to do it and certainly not with Eddie as coach

The only reason Nebraska finished with 6 wins is that they lost Shields for 4-5 games and it took him some time to get back in the flow.. That is what happens when injuries take over and you lose your best player. That Nebraska team that beat us the first time, beat Michigan State shortly after beating us. They were heading to the top middle of the big 10 before the injuries . If you have a healthy roster you have a chance to move up in the big 10.we arent close to 6...dont know how to win and dont know how to play defense...long way to go. Nebby had only 6 wins this year and finished below 500 for the season....much like I told you way back..they would be in the bottom 4 or 5 even if they were better. Northwestern has been fighting for years to get into the top 8 of the league...a much better year this year but not even a bubble contender. Its not easy to move up.

Yeah , and the minute the injuries occurred, teams could not compete , Illinois, Minnesota(suspensions and injuries , Joey King) , Nebraska , Michigan State when they lost Denzel , and Rutgers. Yes Rutgers too BAC! Like you said this league is unforgiving and many decent teams that will make you pay if you are not at full strength.the league is unforgiving..Id say about 3/4s of this league have suffered severe impact injuries this year.
Very true. You left out, however, that the minute before the injuries occurred Rutgers couldn't compete either. Frankly, it was for a couple of years before the injuries occurred.Yeah , and the minute the injuries occurred, teams could not compete , Illinois, Minnesota(suspensions and injuries , Joey King) , Nebraska , Michigan State when they lost Denzel , and Rutgers. Indiana lost 1 player but they are 10 deep with Big 10 talent, and they only started winning consistently when they turned up the defense. Michigan lost their best player , Lavert, and they are not the same and are 3-9 against the top 75-100 and will likely be on the wrong side of the bubble if they lose tomorrow. Ohio State lost nobody for most of the year, until Tate in the last 2, but their problem is their youth. Illinois still had Hill and Dunn, 2 of the better players in the Big 10. Cannot compare their injuries and suspensions to ours !!Indiana lost their best player and won the league. Michigan had major injuries and are still on the bubble. OSU had a big injury but beat Iowa. Ilinois had as many injuries as RU and we couldnt beat them. Injuries are part of the game. So are supsensions apparently
that's awesome, thanks for posting. my son going to go nuts when he sees.

Wrong. They had 2 other 6'10 and 6'9 players and one of them Morgan had 20 points against us in the triple overtime game We had no one else to put in and Lewis played hurt the whole year.Illinois had two players out from the beginning of the year..against RU they didnt have their big man. They had one player over 6f7 just like RU..and RU had every opportunity to win but lost
