Keep it classy Mo. just pointing out it’s a great get for them and what we’re up against. It’s the biggest flip of the day. I’m clearly a RU faithful like yourself.

@superfan01 We're both RU supporters. I just question why you or anyone would get delight in seeing your competition get stronger while we struggle to get similar results.

Because there are fans who are impartial like “super fan” and fans like you MO who actually are fans of RU... still too many who just don’t get it even if they are FANS.

I’m a huge fan of RU. This is ridiculous and nonsense.

it’s the biggest flip of the day. And it is great for them. It’s worth a mention as they are in our division and a litmus test for us each year as our rival.

Hey I’m not questioning your usage of being a Rutgers Fan. What MO asks is why you and others fawn over a flip to an crosstown rival such as Maryland here. Perhaps no other team gives two patooties on our flips unless it ‘s there own team. When RU understands this then we will be ALL IN.
 
The starter of this thread is the kind guy that would talk about how cool his neighbor's new BMW is after that same person runs over his dog.

The kind of guy that complements the guy his wife is having an affair with for having great sex with her.

The kind of guy that would thinks it is a good idea to post about a Maryland flip..

He's not fawning over anything, just conveying some news that may impact us down the line.

Perhaps fawning is not the correct word... let’s use ... covets... like ... “Covet Thy Neighbor’s Goods ”... We all want a 5***** recruit superfan1 but did you make any recent posts regarding guys like Ahmir Robinson or Chris Long ? If you did then I apologize .

I’d take it the same way I talk about coaching news about other programs besides ours and giving my worthless two cents opinion. Nothing wrong with it IMO.

As I’ve said in the past it’s good to know what’s going on out on the college landscape beyond these red walls.

A true Rutgers fan is concerned about what other teams we play are doing. And he didn't say he was "happy" about it, just that it was quite an achievement for Maryland.

I agree. The good news is that based on some of the reactions to the OP in this thread, the fanbase is awake and cares again. I love being interested in Rutgers football during the offseason again.

I wasn't questioning Super's allegiance.

But I believe we are both "true Rutgers fans".

What I'm asking is, do you think Purdue fans were saying "Congratulations Rutgers" for flipping Melton? Were Temple Fans ecstatic because Long flipped to RU?

In essence, in order for us to be #1 / NC, I doubt if Greg is congratulating Minny on getting Joyner. We need focus and priorities.

Also, I think this event sums it up. You're in the running for the job, career, school, woman of your dreams etc and...

Today is about OUR kids. You want to review all the other B1G teams go watch BTN today.
Yeah I follow what others do. It matters. But that's a Wierd OP for today. I'm sure no malice intended. Nor do I question his fandom.

some people can’t take news and blame the messenger.

it was noted on Maryland boards Schiano was a good get for Rutgers and will make recruiting tougher for us and increase RU fundraising at a minimum.

Why would you flip from a national championship team to play for a coach that has won like 5 games in his terrible coaching career?

Edit he's 6-40 in his career. Solid.
