RU did its job where it is most important, going 5-0 OOC in football, including a thrashing of UNC in the bowl game.

um guys, I think this is in reference to BASKETBALL, and if so it is completely and 100% accurate. Haha i've been running my mouth to my friends about how we beat Wisconsin and Kentucky couldnt and ive loved every minute of it

...also LOL KnightShift

Well if Wisconsin and MSU are the hat Ohio State is the person. Sorry, football drives the bus and their national championship is huge towards the next tv contract.

I don't think I'd ever let TTFP be right behind me.

The SEC are the ones who really ran with the idea that every school shares in the success of one conference member. So naturally they're going to hear about it from all Big 10 fanbases when their two marquee programs are knocked off by B10 schools in the same season.

I can't see ttfp's other hand. Get our people out of there! Send in our back-up! Send in the Team! Send in the Team!!!!!

Well, the B1G won the challenge against the ACC, the SEC sucked outside of Kentucky, and the Big 12 fell like a house of cards in the tourney, so I'd say the B1G is as good as any this year.

Don't forget your win in the BIG-ACC challenge!

This was an assignment from a UNC sports management class:

"Using crayon, create an info graphic that shows an important concept that you learned in class (even though attendance was optional). This project may be substituted for completing a final paper."

Iowa beat UNC at UNC this year, was 12-6 in the league...tied with MSU, and crushed Davidson by 30 in the NCAA tourny.....dumb cartoon.

It's thinking like this that best illustrates how the big business of college athletics has ruined college athletics. Yes, when TV and conference execs Skype from their respective fancy boardrooms, football is what moves the negotiation needle. With that said, our schools participate in many sports. Basketball certainly matters to me along with football. As a fan, I enjoy my school winning conference and national championships in many sports. Personally, I relish in soccer, lacrosse, baseball, and basketball titles, too.

While every year can be different, this year we are at the rear of the B10 with a few exceptions where we were middle of the pack
:
Baseball - currently 5th with a 5-4 record
Men's Hoops - 14th
Football - 4th of 7 in the Eastern division
Men's Lacrosse - currently 5th of 6 with an 0-2 record
Men's Soccer - 8th of 9
Wrestling - 10th
Ladies Hoops - 4th
Ladies Gymnastics - 10th of 10
Field Hockey - 7th of 9
Ladies Lacrosse - currently last with an 0-2 record
Ladies Soccer - 4th
Softball - currently tied for 2nd with a 7-2 record
Ladies Tennis - 13th
Ladies Volleyball - last with an 0-20 record

Perspective. Wrestling 10th in the Big Ten = 1st or 2nd in any other conference.

Absolutely. When your 10th place team is still a Top 25 program that year, its hella deep.

Well, over a 1/3 of all Wrestling programs are ranked in the Top 25 (only 73 men's wrestling program's in Division 1).

Big Ten is the only conf in the country where all members (14) have men's wrestling programs.

SEC has zero.

Pac-12 has 6.

ACC has 6.

MAC has 9.

Big 12 has just 4.

Southern Conf has 9.

The SEC has at least one varsity wrestling program, Mizzou. One of their guys just won a national title.

I am a softball fan and I have to say I am jealous of this, it's one sport tOSU is not good at that I really wish they were.
