What makes you think it is totally unenforceable? Verbal contracts have been enforced. Facts would matter. That said, given there was no written contract one can say it works both ways and he was not obligated to do anything for the school or team.

Good luck proving what was said in court. Verbal contracts are enforceable if there is corroborating evidence such as witness testimony or emails. If it’s his word vs the coaches, He’s SOL.
This. Why would we be looking for a QB? AK has been terrific lately.
That's what I mean RE FACTS will matter. Regardless, I would assume he has none as he shut it down, determined he could not trust the word of his current coaches, and is now looking elsewhere. Can't fault him for that.
Actually, AK confirmed he is back. I am thrilled with the progress he made this year and with our stable of receivers.
I believe he will be even better starting with game one. He makes looking forward to next year encouraging. The best passing year in a decade. Next year he goes over 3000 yards.

Even if there was an upgrade we could get, we’d pay out bigly to get a sure fire upgrade. We have much bigger needs at many positions. No reason for us to break the bank for a position that is already a strength.
