BigTen Restarting On October 24

Anyone know what the schedule will be for RU? Same as before with the first two games dropping off or something new?

So what will happen when the unavoidable first game or more have to be canceled because of some perceived “oh shit” outbreak? At least everyone else playing has built-in room (like BYU Army moved to Thanksgiving weekend). At that point is 7 games enough?

The entertainment value of this cluster is ongoing!

Yep. Big 10 is back and Mid East peace all within hours.

Do you realize that the countries who signed the treaties never have been in any war witrh each other. So you can't talk about Mid-East peace, the entire thing is a political ploy to aid Trump's reelection campaign. Trump d avoided the real issues: solution for the displaced and countryless Palestineans and dealing with Hamas and Iran. Nominating Trump for Nobel Peace price for this political showmanship is just as worthy as nominating and awarding the Nobel Peace price for Obama for nothing!

Because a because a 1-loss SEC, ACC team or an undefeated G5 school could and should make the argument that the B1G schedule is biased towards making sure the buckeyes get in (that’s the B1G one real shot this year) here is hoping someone upsets the nuts and everyone else loses at least 1 game...

One or more cancellations because covidiots lose their shit as a result of some asymptomatic cases, and this house of cards crumbles in a 1 mph breeze...
Except the ACC and SEC are playing 10 conference games this year...the B1G is note...so point moot
It was announced at the beginning that teams need to play at least 8 games to qualify for the playoffs. The B1G doesn't have any wiggle room.

Those highly ranked B1G teams like Ohio State or Wisconsin will not be punished as long as they meet that requirement.

Why are you rooting for chaos? Haven't we had enough chaos this year. It would be nice to just get back to some semblance of normalcy.

You do realize most conferences play 8 or 9 league games. All the B1G did was cut the non-conference games out. The majority of the non-conference games are fluffy games for appearance and bowl game positioning.
or money grabs by the low end teams.

Absolutely no wiggle room on this is quite the scheduling decision but in reality, as long as any game that is postponed does not involve the top B1G team in each division, it won't affect anything for the season. 2020 has proven we're not that lucky though.

It's because his voters don't care and are mostly uneducated. That's why they don't understand these things.

don't bring facts into this please. My buddy had a business trip to UAE about 5 years ago. Said his hotel had a lot of Israeli guests. But hopefully this is a step towards a larger peace.

Next up is a peace treaty between the Navajo Nation and Algeria

Alvarez just confirmed a 9 game schedule. Last week is Championship weekend and everybody plays. 1 matches up with 1 and so forth

The big ten did a horrible job communicating but they wanted/needed rapid testing. Now that it will be available in October they are going for it. Like it or not, other conferences don’t have the rapid testing currently and taking a risk that players are COVID positive and playing.

Pretty good idea. Sounds like the consolation games the non playoff HS teams play in NJ.

I bet those “we think highly of ourselves” academics floating in the super rarified air of RU academia are hating it today!

What is the deal with the crossover games at the end? that last week is going to be crazy a championship game and rivals week at the same time?

Daily rapid testing should avoid this

Spin it all you want but it’s a big contrast to the lefts definition of peace. “ Mostly Peacefull Protests/ Riots”

8 games. 6 in division and 2 out of division. That probably includes a rivalry week. The 9th week won’t be “scheduled” and 1 vs 1 will play in championship game, 2v2, 3v3..etc. awesome idea

Interesting that depending on schedule and finish two teams could actually play each other twice in 2 weeks...and perhaps at same location.

Although Alvarez just said they want to avoid that..
