Butthurt Hoosier fans pretty arrogant.

A lot of IU fans are living on past accomplishments, and yeah, to be fair, they did have quite a few of 'em.

-And coming into the RAC/JMA today, I think they were beginning to envision another stretch of glory days. I mean, they were undefeated and ranked 10th in the counrty..but they ain't no mo. :-)

A group of IU fans left from the 300,s with about 3 minutes left
RU fans started yelling out “where you going?”! The IU fans pointed at the score board and kept walking.
One guy flipped the bird as he rounded the corner
Weird thing was , it was still possible for IU to come back at that point

Talking crap as they walked down steps from nose bleeds, pregame “Hoo” all over the place. We gave them a nice send off from 216 👍
They didn't particularly like when I said good bye.....

We own the state of Indiana. 6 straight vs IU, 2 straight vs IU football, swept IU baseball, beat IU soccer for B1G championship, beat Purdue in football and basketball last time we played. Yea, yea, I know ND is in Indiana too but f ‘em anyway.
Also incredible that we are 8-7 all time against a basketball blue blood.

I was banned as well. Its the only board i have ever posted on besides ours. Before that guy wrote his article about kicking rutgers out of the big 10, i had a very sour taste in my mouth from the Nj indiana fans when they came to the RAC.

We were obviously not competitive when we first came into the conference. We weren’t competitive in the AAC at that time. Ive never seen such a nauseating fan base and when we first beat them, it was satisfying. We are now beating them in all sports so they get what they deserve.

Worst fans in the Big 10
Agreed worst fans in basketball. I expected more from B1G fanbases. Some of the least knowledgeable fans I have come across in both football and basketball. It’s like most of the fanbases claim fandom by buying the T-shirt hat and sweatshirt starter set without knowing anything about the sport or team they cheer for.

IU fan in front of me lost his mind when it was clear they were going to lose. Starting screaming incoherently about 1991. I guess that’s the last conference title we won in basketball.

Then went on and on about we shouldn’t even be in the big ten.

I was ribbing him back about 6 in a row, but it was clear that he was unhinged.

Had another guy next to me that I initially thought was a good dude but then he turned out to be loopy as well screaming at the refs for “being corrupt, which makes sense since we’re in jersey”

They have some weirdo fans

The weird thing is … Indiana hasn’t been consistently good for decades.

It’s like a St. John’s or Georgetown fan talking shit

I mean, seriously, it is not 1984

Does anyone, other than Indiana fans, think of Indiana as a top team anymore?!?!

No one does. No one.

Is there a single fan base (other than maybe Nebraska football fans) who live more in the decades-old past?

They started the season 7-0 and started acting like they accomplished something. The fan base is delusional. We’ve beaten them 8 of the last 9 times we’ve played them and they still act like it’s a shock when it happens. At this point we have a winning record against them all time.

Beating Indiana when they were down was enjoyable. Beating them when they were undefeated ranked #10 and going higher after beating UNC made it that much sweeter

You KNOW they thought they were finally getting their revenge tonight and they got bullied off the court. Not just a win. Domination with a banged up Paul and Cliff playing limited minutes. So so sweet

The longer we've been in the B1G the longer I realize most of these guys are all stuck in the past. Maybe 2 or 3 fan bases that understand progress and what's going on. I'd like to say Iowa gets it the most.
Every fan base has its good and bad fans, including us. The difference is some fan bases are bigger than others so the number of idiots for Michigan and Indiana (basketball) seems higher because there are actually more. % wise it’s probably the same though.

Its a safety school, what do you expect. Every rich moron i went to school with who scored under 1000 on their sat went there

I mean you're right in theory but I'm sticking with my view.

True, but to also be fair to Indiana, RU dominated with a major piece of Indiana's starting lineup out for the game. Jalen Hood-Schifino had been averaging more minutes per game than any other Indiana player. Streaky shooter so far but the kid can play. I'm sure RU still wins regardless, but maybe not as convincingly.

I’m sorry. You set yourself up for ridicule if you’re a grown ass man or woman and show up to an opposing arena wearing those candy striper pajamas. Especially when your team gets its ass kicked.
I’m thinking of making myself a t shirt for the next Time they show up to the RAC. Something to the effect of “The word Hoosier is as dumb as your pants are ugly”.
A bit lengthy but hits the two main points.

Should we be more or less sympathetic to teams playing short handed (due to injury)?

GTFO, we played with our best player out most of the game because of foul trouble as well as two of our best players playing hurt. Still own Indiana as we have the last 5 years.
