We would be up by 10 points if we could just hit those 10 bunnies that we’ve missed.

Cannot count tip-in attempts ... but yes, FIVE missed open, uncontested lay-ups. The most aggredious were Sa's off an offensive rebounds, Williams' off an excellent fast break, and Sanders' off a terrific move.

The team plays with tremendous heart but will continue to have great difficulty in B1G games because of the woeful offense.Right now there isn't one consistent shooter on the team.Baker was outstanding in the first half and then couldn't make a shot in the second half. The problem then was trying to find anyone capable of making a basket.Foul shots yes but 2/3 pointers no.Scoring only in the 50 point range in the first 2 league games isn't a good sign even with the fact Minnesota and Michigan State are outstanding teams. There continues to be too many missed layups and put backs which are real problems when the team lacks out side shooters.

It's not as simple as that. Yes, we missed a bunch of layups but there is a potential lottery pick there who was swatting everything and altering a lot more.

Short guards are one major problem, and Pikel is getting tall ones with long arms, which will help for sure.
