Can people please stop posting rumors without any sources?

If you want to post rumors, then please provide the source/link. That way people can read it and decide if it is legit or bs.

Posting random rumors with no links or sources or anything other than "I heard..." is not helping anyone or anything.

It just makes you look like a troll.

The fundamental premise of the OP is pure fail, since the media (especially nj.com) isn't getting their "information" from anywhere except right here.

So a link wouldn't actually do any good, would it?

Now, if you want to go on record as saying that we shouldn't be giving those douchetards anything to print, then that's a different thing altogether.
 
A percentage of our fan base loves drama. It seems to be the Rutgers way.

OP makes a vaild point. Some posters were on yesterday saying they knew/saw/heard what happened with Carroo, but would not say what occurred. Total BS, IMO.

A large % of our fan base - unlike yourself - are from New Jersey. This is an "inherit issue" unfortunately we have to deal with on the boards. We're a lot of good things, some great things, and some things that make you go "ugh."

I don't exactly understand what that means. I went to school there and support the athletic department. The school is drama filled, and our fan base is as well. It is different from what I have seen from some other schools, good bad or otherwise. Not sure with being or not being from NJ has to do with it, unless you are saying NJ people are inherently more into drama? I might buy that.

I'm not really sure. I think this topic is 100% legit and that we have every right to be concerned, upset, pissed, curious, etc., I was simply trying to help Cali with his understanding of the NJ-region sports fans a little better.
 
Read the board. People with zero knowledge of anything are posting in their panties about everything and anything as if they saw it, determining who should be hired and fired because of it.

It is entertaining on one level, embarrassing on another.

Most of the rumors are horsesh#t. trust me I know. The point is that a lot of people are just making stuff up at this point. So if they have to post a link (which in many cases does not exist), it will curb this nonsense.
 
Whether the link is BS or not, at least we can figure out where the BS is coming from. If X just posts with no link, well they started it. At least if they got it from (whether trusted or not) nj.com, at least we have a better idea of where it originated.

100% agree. And that was the best post I've ever seen from you. (Edit: scratch that - let me say instead that it's my favorite post of yours ever. The post was too good to deserve me being condescending about it, so sorry about that).

I'd add the the degree of self-righteousness, pettiness and outright meanness displayed by many posters is sort of depressing to me. It had already started after the loss and the situation w/Carroo just added fuel to the fire.

Three things

1.) You need to know the poster when they bring the info on the board. Take the source and take the rumor and decide for yourself. Mentally keep track of who has the right info. I do...and I have a pretty good idea on who is legit and who is sh*t

2.) many people who post here are not so anonymous in this program. So you can't come out and say what you know anonymously without any consequences or betraying confidence

3.) this forum has an official policy about posting unsubstantiated rumors. While this is not even closely to enforced....you will be surprised how much info on this board is true if you pay attention to who is giving it....and there aren't many people who post bs just to cause a rise. Most post it Bedause they think they got it right..:even in a dynamic and fluid situation
 
I have no idea what you guys are talking about, but it's starting to sound a little too... "San Francisco" for my tastes.

My prediction: It's revealed that he was hit first by the girl. Everyone rallies around Caroo because people are sick of crazy females. Caroo is back for the Ohio St. game and leads us to a win.
