I hate cancer too. Lost my bro in law and close friend 3 years ago, he was 49. Colon cancer that spread, Lost my Dad 4 years ago lung cancer, his last 2 months were so awful I thought about giving him lethal doses of morphine to put him out of his misery, and now my Mom was diagnosed 3 days before Christmas with brain and lung cancer, and she said no chemo/radiation or surgery, she's 86, she's going fast and watching this is just so sad for my sisters, brother and myself.
I think Cancer will never be cured, it's God's way or Nature's way of controlling the human population. We will treat it to a degree and delay it's inevitable consequences, but doubt it will ever totally be a cureable disease, it has just too many manifestations.
Thank God for Rutgers sports to keep me distracted to a small degree.
I feel horrible for Chris Mortensen and his family. My friend now is in remission with a form of Jaw Cancer, the kind that killed Roger Ebert. Jim Kelly seems to be ok now with the same.
