people keep saying they want a HC with a proven track record. My question is even at $3 mill/yr why would a coach come to RU which looks like an absolute dumpster fire from the outside looking in? Just because a group of 5 coach is making $800k doesnt mean he’ll just jump at the first p5 offer for 3 mill he gets. These coaches chose the right opportunity as they know that if they drop the ball, they rarely ever get another chance at a p5 job.

Partridge is the choice because he simply doesnt care about taking on a challenging task, in fact, he embraces it and thrives. At Paramus Catholic he took over a program that was a perpetual bye week for bosco, bergen, st peters and st joes. Within 3 years he was top dog and talked about gunning to not only compete, but overtake them from day 1. Chris Partridge A) Wants the job B) embraces the challenge C) knows how to recruit and develop a culture that kids want to be apart of D) he will bring energy, enthusiasm and excitement to a program severely lacking all of the above. E) he’d ultimately win, and win BIG.

He’d piss alot of people off and make alot of big ten coaches very uncomfortable with how hes taking 4*’s they want but he is exactly what we need right now. Some of you have to askyourselves, do we want to keep doing the same thing and getting the same results? Or do wewant to shoot for the moon? I know my choice and it’s Chris Partridge

No more experiments.
Being back greg. If 8-5 is the ceiling so what, it gets us out of the basement.
Partridges ceiling is a final 4 imo. The guy would bring is 8-10 4*’s a year and top young coaches around the country would wanna jump on that staff. Listen we can continue to be perpetual losers or we can shoot for the moon

No more guys with no experience!
I would argue that being the head coach at paramus catholic and doing what partridge did there gives him more experience than a majority of assistants. Dabo and Urban meyer were never a HC or even coordinator before getting their head jobs. Things mightve worked out just a littttttle bit there

I don’t know enough about partridge, I really don’t. I do know what schiano brings.
I think instead of trying to hit a home run hire, Rutgers needs a surefire double.
Getting to second base is great for a guy that can’t even get a girls number right now

You do realize Urban was HC at Bowling Green and Utah (pre Pac12) before going to Florida, right?

Yes I in fact do. He started off at bowling green with zero prior coordinator experience. You do realize that right?
