Cliff was indispensable last night. His rebounding and defense in the paint made the win possible. Without him we don’t win.

Teams are focusing on him in the post. He passed out of the double very well last night. I would like to see the wing dump it into him receive the pass back and then dump it right back down to him because sometimes the defense relaxes when he passes out. If he received the ball the second time he can quickly make his move.

Pikiell's goal right now needs to be to keep Cliff engaged and playing hard while running less offense through him. Get to the dunker spot for dropoff passes and lobs from Mulcahy but otherwise we need you on defense and on the glass every single possession. Considering that Cliff (and Pikiell, probably) expected he'd come into the season shooting more, getting post touches, etc it's gonna be a tightrope to walk but that's the key.

I don't think anyone is questioning Cliff's value or effort, but rather genuine concern about him seemingly not having the same explosiveness in his step the past couple of games.

I thought he corralled the ball better on rebounds last night. I'm not looking for Cliff to be an offensive juggernaut. Just catch the f-ing ball... cleanly.
