When the Board of Director's of a major corporation brings in an outsider to be the new CEO, it is almost always because the company is not changing its business model to fit the future direction of its industry.
Rutgers is no different when they brought in Coach Ash to change it's Football business model and it required him bringing in all new, high energy coaches to "Change the Football Culture" that was heading in the wrong direction.....to one that mimics some of the success metrics learned within the Urban Meyer tree.
Rutgers Football has a reasonable nucleus of existing player/athletes that can easily adapt to Coach Ash's system. Unfortunately a few Coach Flood recruits would not fit as well into the Coach Ash system that he learned under the Urban Meyer tree....Option QB who is an athlete and can throw the football down field and utilizing the best athletes on offense and defense as needed for the benefit of the team.
I hold no ill will for commits changing their mind and going elsewhere, but they are going to miss getting their seat on the Coach Ash rocket that is ready to launch!
