Nobody is more disappointed about the last few weeks than me. I started following Rutgers sports during the undefeated Final Four season and have made it through the disasters of Fred Gruninger,Craig Littlepage,Fred Hill Jr.,Kevin Bannon,no money for the program, bad facilities, the Mike Rice 8th grade dodgeball ESPN created scandal, and Julie Hermann. It is not the players fault.I honestly believe these kids have given everything they have to Coach Pike and Rutgers fans, but they are just not Big Ten level players. They were brought in during very difficult circumstances that have been around for decades and are finally being addressed by Pat Hobbs.I do not know how bad things were when Coach Pike took over Stony Brook, but it only took a few years and he turned the record around.I know the Atlantic East is not the Big Ten,but his record over the last ten years, including RU,is 199 and 117.I know many of us go way back and are tired of spending so much money and time following our program, but I still honestly think Coach Pike will turn this into a very good basketball program,on and off the court.I hope people will just hang in there.Just my two cents.
