Our players have suffered through a long and difficult season, so it is nice to see them end their home season with a convincing win.
I am happy for our seniors and especially for Greg Lewis. He has my complete respect.
I am also happy for Mike Williams. During most of the games, he has shown tenacity and grit in battling against guys often several inches bigger than he is. I hope this game gives him some confidence that he will be able to move his game to the next level in the two years he has left.
I am also glad for Coach Jordan. I thank him for his dedication to RU. One of my best memories will always be his reaction to the Wisconsin win last year. He set the standard for showing your pride in RU, and that reaction is special to me.
Right now I am expecting lots of changes in the leadership of the program over the next month. It has been a difficult year to be a fan, but it has been far more difficult to be a player or a coach for our team. Here's hoping that next year results in a solid step upward for everyone involved with the program.
