Corey backs up EJ

Jordan never is accountable for anything nor does he ever take responsibility, These are now HIS players and His results weren't any different when he had "big men".

Please don't lose 26 conference games in a row and then tell me I don't understand. Please don't give up an obscene amount of three point shots, not get the best out of your players and get worse every single year and then say we don't understand. Injuries are one thing, being consistently embarrassed and the butt of jokes is another.

the injuries may have saved him temporarily but he will finally be exposed to everyone next year. It's just a shame we have to suffer through another terrible season.

We aren't capable of understanding but we're paying for this garbage.

Way to piss off the almost non existent fan base even more.

Thank god you can tell the future! Can I hire you?Kidding aside, let next year play out. He will have a roster. If he cannot make it, I guess we just wait till his contract ends.

What was our record with Etou, Jack, Doorson and Foreman last season? Etou and Jack are better than Doorson and Diallo at this point. Foreman is who he is.

Can't blame injuries to the front court beyond Freeman, and even then I don't think we win more than an extra game (Illinois).

And I hate to say this but keeping Jordan does two things: costs Rutgers more money in the long run. And delays the rebuilding job by at least a season. Because no one from 2017 and 2018 class will commit to a coach on the hot seat.

It's not hard to tell the future. Just follow the 3 year trend. If Freeman does not come back, I expect us to be just as bad. Johnson has to be better than Daniels but Doorson and Diallo are not even as good as Lewis. Without Freeman it should be more of the same..maybe 10 wins

It's not the players, Eddie. It's the coach.

Someone thinks differently: Sanders, a two-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week, defended Jordan. "Coach has nothing to do with why our record is like it is and Coach is the reason that I'm here. Just stick with us. We're young right now. We've got people hurt. Coach is doing his best."

We will see. I am not saying you are wrong, I am saying it is hard to tell. Johnson is a real talent I believe. Two fast guards elleviates a lot for the team.

Eddies record is all the proof I need. And the defense.

Corey is a good teammate and soldier. Wouldn't expect him to say anything had about Jordan, who's a good guy but not in position to get us to .500

And what about weight training program. foreman needs to be 15 pounds heavier. Michigan State had huge team and RU needs to get stronger.

Jordan will get another year to prove he can point RU MBB on the road to sucess.
Whether he can or not is a major question and everyone here can't claim they know if he will or not..
The only thing that can be used to back a claim is how RU looks now, how it has looked since Eddie was hired and what they think of his recruiting , by those who want Jordan gone.
Those who feel Jordan deserves to return next year can point out the obstacles he faced and still is facing since he took over after the Rice fiasco, how long RU MBB has been a program that top recruits don't want to be part of, the injuries this season and the type of recruits he is bringing in, including Sanders.

As long as the players back him Hobbs might see light at the end of the tunnel with Jordan as HCor be biding his time so he can invest in a new HC without it being tied into the funds the State is giving RU to help upgrade it's athletic facilities.

This is Hoosiers 4sure

I say one more year...all sophs and juniors next year

If no major improvement...give next guy a team with some experience to build and recruit from

Everyone says Rutgers can't afford this or that. Well I guess we don't learn when and where to save money.

It'll cost more than $1 million more to Buy Out the HC after next season.

How many Division 3s will we schedule next year?

I have no doubt that Jordan will be back next year. Today's challenge to the fans is the set-up for Hobbs to back EJ on the injury excuse.

Do I read people who are impressed because a player came out publicly and supported his head coach? Oh, stop the presses! What could the kid say -- "the coach blows" or "I'm counting the days" or "no comment"? Of course he's got Eddie's back. I would expect nothing less from any kid on the roster who wants maximum PT.

I do not care what the players say...the players supported Mike Rice too

Eddie needs to go. The record and losing is historic..sorry but if it plays out where a team lost 41 of its 46 games you don't deserve to come back at all and anybody trying to defend it is either a friend or a shill that has lost all objectivity and should be on meds

From the article Eddie says..."I’m sorry. If that’s the way they feel, I’m sorry they feel that way,” Jordan said after practice. “They just have to be more educated in what the real deal is, if they understand what this conference is about, what type of players and teams we’re going up against with injuries and being a young team. If they don’t understand that, I don’t need to read what the reaction is. I don’t care about the reaction honestly"

oh really Eddie? you better care about the reaction. Seems to be that this staff knows that they are in deep shit and are trying to circle the wagons. Giving a FU to the fanbase isn't exactly going to win any critics over. Looks like he is digging his own grave here.

28-61, 2-27 B1G

Could be 28-68, 2-34 B1G after the season with an underwhelming recruiting class coming in....and the fans don't get it...lol

Instead of insulting the fans he should take some pride in his job...for which he is very well paid. I don't remember Littlepage making excuses for his failures and he was just as unsuccessful.

This article shows as clear as day why we suck. The head coach has no expectations and makes excuses. There is no accountability for the team and himself.

Program has a stench. Loser mentality. 2 ways to deal with adversity...he is picking the wrong one.

I am the idiot for going to games. I haven't missed one. I am the fool.

Well thankfully he gets it. Maybe someday us buffoons will understand.

Does Eddy realize he's been here three years? The way he's answering the questions, you'd think he's had no opportunity to improve the roster or add quality depth.

This doesn't sound like a coach comfortable with his job security
We haven't won a conference game in over a year, the second most talented player gets suspended, and Eddy attackes the fans in an article.

That's a downward spiral that's virtually impossible to come back from. I wasn't sure, but now I feel the writing's on the wall.

well said...Eddie's comments were pathetic and an insult to all RU season ticket holders and fans. The fact is he seems to believe he is operating in a climate of zero expectations. Looks like this is going to end ugly

The sooner the better. His comments are so bizarre I almost wonder if he wants out of his misery.

Eddie gets it. Corey gets it. HOBBS gets it.

So I'm very relaxed and sure of my "hypothesis". See you next season.

Far too late in the game for Eddie to still be relying on "change the culture/establish harmony" excuse. I will be absolutely floored if Hobbs doesn't get rid of him after this season.
