Ray was the spark RU football needed to become a legitimate football program and for greater talent and resources that came thereafter. Corey is that guy for RU basketball. A couple more consistent shooters, a big man or two and a better team defensive effort Corey will be known as the player that led the turn around of the basketball program. Kid is balling but with all his minutes is running out of steam at end of games. He needs reinforcements. Talented players will want to player with this playmaker and possible BIG Freshman of the year.

He was a big reason , with his over a thousand yards rushing , RU went to the Insight Bowl his freshman year.
But Sanders doesn't have the talent around him that helped Ray and RU to go to that bowl game.
Some might say Corey doesn't have a coaching staff that utilizes the players they have as much as Ray's coaches did.
All I know is Ray's HC had 2 terrible years before RU fans started seeing positive results and then two more losing seasons before Ray helped RU finally get more Ws than Ls and go bowling after
a 27 year wait since they went to thir first bowl game.
Hopefully by RU MBB's 27th year without an NCAA Tourney bid , Corey will be leading the Scarlet Knights MBB program to the Big Dance.
Believe it's been around 25 years now since the RU MBB program earned a Dance Card.

Brian was a great runner, blocker and team mate. Ray Rice's performance on the field with the help of Brian leading the way blocking changed the perception of RU football. Hopefully Freeman and company will help Corey turn the corner next year for the basketball team.
