Corey Sanders

Also. I wonder if him getting only 32 minutes helped him take the game over at the end. Looking at box score I loved the minutes allocation.

Looks like coach is taking Corey out just before scheduled timeouts and using that to get him the added rest.

I didn't see the game (son had a game, I DVRd, and espnu comes choppy and found unwatchable).

There is a fine line here. no doubt he has to play with confidence which means he needs to be geeen lighted. Unfortunately the teams that we need to beat to get to 5-6 B1G wins will require balanced scoring and multiple threats on the floor. Obviously not a knock on Corey

We probably just beat B1G team #12 at the buzzer on our home court.
Pretty sure all ESPN family of network games are available on replay on Watch ESPN app or online.

I should have gone that route. i did that once on BTN for a OOC last year and i loaded it up and showed the final score. For some reason I only have issues with ESPNU. I wonder if it is a HD thing. It was so frustrating.

You're wrong about that. Nebraska beat Indiana @ Assembly Hall AND Maryland @ Xfinity Center. Took down Iowa in 2OTs. Their losses are to us by 1, OSU by 1, Clemson by 2, Michigan by 6, NW by 8, #3 Kansas @ Lawrence 89-72, #10 Creighton 77-62, @ #14 UCLA 82-71.
Sorry, but that is a very good team that has come up just short many times but has played tough and won on the road in some of the toughest places in the country. NEB is a very good team this year and don't be surprised if they make a run in the B1G tourney, get to the NCAAs or if they end up in the NIT to win the whole thing.

You think so?I think he has learned this year to play within the game. When he is unleashed, he can make sloppy plays and sometimes, those can be big momentum changers.

To me, it is clear that a lot of his team mates did real well in non conference, and still do well in conference. Still, I think in the big ten, he knows he has to pick up the slack. He is also a winner from West Oaks. It is never a bad thing to have a kid who knows how to win be in circumstances like Saturday.
I think so.

Welcome to the B1G...who doesn't have a resume that says that.

I think so.

An unleashed Sanders is not what the team needs. A player like he is now though, coached by Pikiell, is what the team needs.

If you say that in the final minutes of a game, the ball should be in Sanders hands, I would totally agree.

Unleashed though sounds sloppy.

we definitely have a player willing to take the "big" shot

Unleashed doesn't mean Carmelo and Hardin ball hog. I really feel he's maturing as a player. He bought into the team concept. But unleashed means allowing him to dictate flow, make decisions, and not have to overthink or play tentative. But if he needs to jack up shots. Let him. If he misses, he can still jack more. It's clear he can dish and he actually does. He doesn't Carmelo ball hog. But we go as he goes. We need his FG attempts. We're not winning with less than 10 FG attempts from Corey.

For us to beat the good teams he needs to get in to the paint and SCORE and get big guys layups.

The out of the time out designed play worked perfectly where CJ rolled to the basket and Corey hit him with a high pass that led to an and one. CJ did miss the foul shot, but a great designed play.

I wasn't in the thought that he would get like those two players.

What I am saying- he has been unleashed in transition and it has lead to turnovers. When the game is on the line, Sanders should have the ball in his hands.

He's to hoping Corey does just well enough for the remainder of the season to keep him here one more year.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. I can't imagine this team without him right now.

He will probably be here. I agree. He is a fantastic kid.
