Do we go after him? I think we may need defense more but we can always plug and play on offense.
I am sure he will have plenty of options, but if I’m a senior transfer with no local school connections (nearest D1 program to OR is Utah) I am looking at Rutgers or Maryland. Both run systems that showcase athletes and both have proven that transfers can step right in and thrive.Would LOVE to get his kid. He would fit in perfectly with our style. Sure Brian is going after him. He’s also from Oregon like Ross.
You hate to say it, but college sports are a year to year thing now. At least for the foreseeable future.
This kid has generational talent. You take him if you can get him. It's that simple.
We have some recruits that are coming in that have high expectations. If you lose one or two guys on the team currently, it would suck and you never want to lose them, but this is the way of the world now. You are either playing this game or you are falling behind. It's that simple.
This kid will be a tough get though. He can go to any school in the country not in the Ivy league.
Cameron is back fyiIf there is mutual interest, absolutely. He was one of their few bright spots. Team captain, seems like a good kid. From Oregon, perhaps there is a connection to Ross Scott. We presumably lose Bartolo and Cameron next year so we can use help at attack.
What about Ronan Jacoby? For a kid who came up through D3, he's a nice commodity at attack for us this year.Cameron is back fyi
Thanks, good to know. Hard to keep track these days.Cameron is back fyi
Kamish, Coyne, and Franko are done. This is it for those three. Daninger has another year I believe. Not sure if he’s using it.Would love to add Dordevic to the offense but, will he come when he could go to Maryland and slide right into the lineup. From what I was told all of our long poles have the ability to come back and there is only one that may decide to leave. Rall and Russo have already stated that they were coming back and I believe Boswell is an underclassman and we already have a transfer coming in from Dartmouth as a pole. on offense of the top 6 only Bartolo I believe is done, I think all the rest can come back. I believe that Sango has completed his eligibility, but I believe that Civetti can come back as well as Teresky and Aimone I think it is at the SSDM spot where we may see some losses, as I think 3 of the 4 have used up all of the eligibility, but @Golfer2019 could probably answer that better.
Are you sure, I thought that I had heard he had two years to play? He's gone unfortunately. He's a great player. Would love to have him back too.
This kid is really good and if he is unhappy I would snap him up in a minuteThey’ve got a sophomore named Drago at Cuse who barely saw the field this year.
He’s from North Caldwell and went to West Essex High School.
I know his parents well, he’s not happy

Long stick middie it says on his bio. What position?
He is a pole and he would be a great get so would the cause fogo who is also in the portal Savage is his name, he was originally committed to us but then switched to Cuse I was very disappointed when that happened and would be excited to get him back. There is also a freshman that I would take his name is Blake Borges, his dad played at Rutgers around the same time as me, @Caliknight and @rbled.What position?
He does have another year but at last check it wasn’t being used. Are you sure, I thought that I had heard he had two years to play?
In your day the only remedy to increase your playing time would be to work your ass off in practice, impress the coaches with your work ethic and take advantage of the playing time you get.Picking up Borge’s and Drago would be huge on a number of levels.
Not sure how much you can say Zap but why isn’t he happy? Just playing time or something else? Cuse program seems like a train wreck right now.

What else could you do?
If you lacked the talent to do so, you became a respected member of the team and valuable to the program by helping prepare the guys who do play.

@CaliknightCali-
You need to DM me quickly.
I have direct contact with Drago’s parents.
They need to know the kid is wanted and we’re willing to give him a scholarship.
I need you to find out through your connections if we really want this kid, not that he would just help us.
What can I tell his parents?
I’m hearing the RU coaches were pissed off he went to Cuse and there’s some animosity there.
It’s a fine line. If you were committed and then flipped elsewhere, chances of you coming back to said school are slim...why? It works both ways...You leave a staff high n dry, they’re not gonna beg you to come back...you should come back and plead for a spot...One thing has never been more evident. Jersey kids better jump on board when they have the chance. There is a great thing going on at RU.
Won’t say the kids name but a kid at another BIG school was going to come here and flipped, played a little as a freshman and now rides the pine. He wanted to come back here but no room at the inn.
If he was committed to RU and flipped on that commitment it would absolutely cause animosity. In all these types of cases...Cali-

I’m pretty sure the Patriot does not allow grad transfers. As a matter of fact I’m sure they don’t. So no 1 year grads can go to the PLAnd you better realize that for the next few years the portal is crowded with Ivy transfers, and good ones. Think what Penn would have been this year with Bartolo and Lully (starting A at Penn and currently #4 scorer at Duke). Of course Sowers last year. And it sounds like Rutgers gets another one next year. Given a quality combination of lacrosse program and grad academic programs I think Rutgers, Georgetown and Duke (Fuqua MBA) are all near the top. One school with a slightly lesser lax cache but solid grad programs that cover the spectrum of possibilities is Boston University. Be interesting to see if that attracts players from the New England Ivies given they might make the tournament this year.

Otherwise I agree with everything you said here.
RU is desirable for transfers.
