Umm, Ace didn't have a relationship with Knight but you're too invested to realize that. One of his handlers has a relationship with Knight where Knight is the godfather to one of his kids. Ace had to build a relationship with both Knight and Pike and feel comfortable with RU and the program to commit here. He wasn't hand delivered.
