Bates-Diop is averaging 20 PPG and is a 6-7 235 forward who shoots the 3. Is that someone that Thiam can handle? I wonder how the staff will game plan against him.

OSU also has CJ Jackson (likely Sanders on him) and Jae-Sean Tate (maybe Freeman?) to deal with. It is a good team with depth in scoring.

Multiple scoring threats which is the mark of a successful team. How they perform on the road will be the deciding factor in the game against Rutgers.

They already won by 20+ points at Wisconsin earlier in the year — one of the toughest venues in the Big 10 (when Wisconsin was healthy), so I think they will be very tough to beat.

True, i think theyll switch thiam on him and omoyuri. Osu hss some matchup oddities.

Great word, oddities. Seems to apply to RU as well. We have a 6'10 shooting guard, a 6'6 center, and a 6'0 (at best) 2-guard that rebounds the heck out of the ball on the offensive glass, to compliment our best player - a 6'1 athlete extraordinaire who loves to jump over everybody and on any given day can be virtually unstoppable inside and out.

Throw in Eugene -- who is one of those guys you hated to play against in pick-up games -- all elbows and seems to zig when everyone else is zagging; and Souf, a 5-minute bench player with no offensive skills whatsoever but who will get in your grill and make you miserable bringing the ball up; plus a huge 7-footer and a long-armed 6'9 center/forward that each find a way to conrtribute whenever they're in there.

And of course we have two pretty good freshmen including one who plays beyond his years and has racked up more minutes than probably most freshmen in the B1G or in any major conference for that matter.

Put it all out on the floor with the energy and intensity we bring into every game on Defense and Rebounding, and you have a collection of wonderful oddballs that only a Rutgers fan can love.

As one of those grateful and hopeful RU fans, I can't wait to get in that arena tonight to do my part.

I agree with this. We a strangely composed team, which I think helps us to hang in with some tough teams.

Still hoping OSU comes in with the "yeah but it's only Rutgers" attitude. Despite our improvement over the last 1.5 years, we still have that going for us.

Which is nice.
