Hey everybody! Great to be back 2-0 baby!

It’s time to plan for the biggest game of the season! What is everyone eating? We thought about roasting some blue hens (lol) but will likely stick to our main tailgate food - pizza. Thinking about spicing it up with some sausage or garlic.

What is every doing? Might put a poll out to check it out.

Nope. Not unless you add bratwurst cooked for a hour or more in a beer bath with thin sliced vidalia onions, butter and garlic.
How do you keep the skins from busting when you cook them that long? Super low heat?

Never had an issue, bring the beer bath to a boil, put them in and keep them on medium heat for an hour or more. Once done, grill 6 minutes a side and you're ready to go.

I grill them, then put them in the beer bath. Maybe that's what my problem is.

i cant imagine an hour in beer adds more flavor than 10 minutes in beer. besides, bratwurst and sausage are in skins which block most of the permeation.

I guess this must be his shtick. And he thinks it's funny.

He should stick to port-a-potty threads.
But we are the pizza state, so what’s wrong with figuring out the best pizza for a tailgate?

Why are we not considering the best of NJ’s both worlds..pizza bagels?

Yep ...guy has 14 posts, and they're all about pizza.

Go back to refrigeration, Bob Vance.
That’s a bold move to come at a member of the five families of the Scranton Business Park. Better hope Cool Guy Paul, W.B. Jones and Bill Cress aren’t on this board too. You’ll be parking in the satellite lots. WAY worse than parking at the RAC.

How has no one addressed tailgaiting food in relation to our opponents? We will be stringing up and/or eating cornish hens dyed blue as a tribute to the visiting Delaware Blue Hens.

You lost me at dyeing the hens blue.

A question for Mrs. Screw, where do you hold your tailgate? I want to give Abro, Fire, and LawJam directions. Abro will be sure to bring a bag of chips.

Perhaps you could eat the cornish hens with blue vodka or blue curaçao.

There is no blue food. Here's an expert explaining that:

Ms Screw . , what are the two ways for poppers ? I am on the edge of my seat, overcome in anticipation of your answer.

one will be regular cream cheese wrapped in bacon. The second will be stuffed with the potato pulled out for the potato skins, with cheese and bacon. I am not making either. I'm in charge of the pulled pork and the Rutgers Rum Punch.

potatoes ! interesting and clever. I may try that at home one night. Care for a suggestion ?How about a third option: your pulled pork, finely chopped with onion in the poppers and wrapped in bacon ? maybe call that 'double pork poppers'...or 'Southern Gentleman Wooooo Pig Poppers'

That sounds fabulous!

We always do food and beer themed toward the opponent, the problem is Delaware doesn't have a specific food. Most of what is considered Delaware food is actually Philly food and we had that the 1st week.

That's ok though, just have to drink enough different Dogfish beers to make up for the lack of foods.

With that said we are doing chicken and egg themed tailgate.
Breakfast: Jersey Breakfast
Snack: Buffalo chicken dip
Late Lunch: Chicken wings and Armidillo eggs
Beer: Assorted Dogfish and Jersey Beers
