66 - we were one of the most penalized teams in the nation prior to the MSU game. The last 2 games - GREAT job reducing the penalties - no doubt! It helps that B1G officials don't throw a lot of flags, no doubt, but we've obviously made an effort as well.

we had ZERO penalties in the the Ohio State game last year.

This did not sink in until this year that B1G officials are less flag happy than officials in other conferences.

Schiano used to talk about how he did not have a problem with aggressive penalties. If his defenders mashed somebody and got tagged for it not a problem. Mentioned how the great defenses at Miami had this trait.

It's not just penalties (which clearly down over last two games )--- it's the "unforced" penalties (illegal motion, illegal formation, etc.) huge improvement...

You better give credit to our staff NUTS...we could have a bunch saturday but I feel the team is paying attention to detail...to be able to come back after all the crap is a credit to the staff , players and Flood ...like it or not...these guys love him.
