Since the announcement about the transfers was made I have read numerous posts naming players we should go after, followed by debates about who is better etc etc. However, I have not read about any of these guys mentioning us ( with the exception of Strickland). Do any of you know, have any of you read, or heard about any of these guys talking up RU? The signing period starts Wed, something has to be happening by now with someone I would think.
Do any of the recruits talked about want us?

Where do we stand relative to other schools with them? Top of their lists? Top 5?
I don't think top lists or that type of info is out there on these guys. If I were to predict I think we land McConnell. Not sure how hard we are going after Bandoo or his interest level in Rutgers.
Thanks. I am used to the football board and recruits are always tweeting or posting on facebook etc etc so there is always talk about who we are interested in and how much they might be interested in us. Over here it is post after post about who we should be going after and nothing on how they feel about us. It is frustrating.

And our staff works very much in stealth mode. That should be very apparent by now.
Bottom line...don't stress about it. Pike is the man. He's got this covered.
I share your confidence in the staff, and yes, they are quite stealthy. I am, however, surprised at the lack of twitter activity by the kids being recruited. It seems that is all they do in this day and age except - if it concerns RU.
I was convinced by Twitter activity, and the team interacting with him on there, that Strickland was coming here... ce la vie...
Johnny Biggs SHU poster #1288--assigned 28 March 2015. Rutgers poster #6082. Carries the same date, 28 Mar 2015, but if you register for two school's boards, they only list the date your first member number was assigned. Looks like he joined the RU board to troll maybe in April 2015. The 6XXX series of member numbers is kind of hard to nail down.
Anyway, he has made several dozen posts on our board. Just ignore him.
Rutger is not a great destination yet. The B1G Conference Tourney run showed the potential, and tend to think the ball will move better without Corey--just as it did in Washington when John Wall went down. The team did well without Wall because the ball moved more. Geo will move the ball.

Now that I’ve been investigated by the RU board police I would liKe to take a moment to clarify. The point I was alluding to was that basketball recruiting is a very fluid thing. Lots of moving parts behind the scenes. Today’s leader can be yesterday’s news. Now I have no idea how football recruiting works or if it’s similar in any way. I was trying to say that without a lot of typing to a football guy.
No, not the Board Police. Got interested in member numbers by wondering what happened in 2001 for each school on the Rivals Board to start issuing them. Different sequence for each school, and for years, they were pretty linear. Just the way my mind works--also keep track of product codes (just the first set) bus numbers, etc. All I had to do was check the SHU list--only did them to confirm each school had its own sequence. You just happened to be on the list of SHU numbers noted. So it goes.
But if you enjoy feeling paranoid and stalked--be my guest.

Paranoid? Ok. I joined the ru board in 2015 to troll but was just discovered today. Damn. I gotta do a better job of hiding.
First of all I didn't say I was a football guy, I said I was used to the football board discussions on recruiting. There is always a lot of info on the players and how they look at and feel about schools. The basketball seems a lot quieter. Lots of talk about who is out there and who we should go after followed by each poster arguing about who is a better fit but not a lot from the recruits ( with the exception of Strickland, which as we know didn't work out well).
C'mon Mo! There have been discussions and suggestions on this board about at least 12 to 15 different guys we should be going after. If we are not even on their lists why are we talking about them?
