I feel like this weekend will be a lot of fun as a Rutgers fan. Lots of recruits visiting, energetic staff, and a little momentum.

Can't wait. This is going to be fun. And I can't wait to see how the staff does once they have some time to create/nurture relationships.

Thought this was going to be all about bad pizza. Like maybe a "worst pizza thread".

Papa Johns. Did you know Manning owns like 30 of those places?
I didn't know that. I never had Papa Johns pizza. Is it really that bad? The commercials for them, Dominos, Pizza hut, etc have always made their pizza look tremendous. A lesson in why we should never believe what we see, read or hear in ads.

Did anyone ever hear the bizarre reason Dominoes got rid of The Noid?

I feel a little bad since it appears I inadvertently hijacked the thread.

yes, way worse than Dominos.....Pizza hut to me is worse bc of the excessive butter. But then I couldn't have thrown in the Manning knowledge.

I live in the city and a friend of mine will only order Papa John's because you get a free after a certain amount of orders. Cheap bastard is missing out on the best pizza in the world.

The last time I had Papa Johns was at least 5 yrs ago. It was predictably bad but still much better than dominoes.

I actually like Papa John's.

Don't get me wrong, it's not even in the same realm of some local shops, but I honestly don't think it's that bad for a chain.

Dominos was my first non paper route job. I was in the 6th grade and part of the job was standing on the highway wearing a Noid costume for hours at a time. I used to get pelted with eggs lol

That was you ?
Sorry about that.

You do know it is plastic (synthetic) cheese. they were sued when he said made with "all natural ingredients". Enjoy your plastic pie!

Eh, compared to my smoking/drinking habits when I was younger, eating plastic cheese is practically nutritious.

Lol. Knowing what I know about this forum, I thought it was going to be an older gentleman asking for advice on how to play dominoes, what equipment to buy, strategies and so forth.

Pleasantly surprised and agree with the OP - fun stretch!

No way... Have you been to little Cesar's? Also I think dominos is better than Pizza Hut and have never had papa johns

Lol, forgot all about Lil Caesars. They do have $5 ready-take pizzas, so I guess you get what you pay for. I don't really like any of the chains, but I'd go Pizza Hut>Papa John's>Dominos.

Papa Murphy's is the best chain I've tried - take n bake.

Depending on where you live in the world, Domino's is not a bad pizza. How anyone who lives in New Jersey could possibly justify ordering from there is beyond me.

What do you guys think is the best pizza in New Brunswick? I lived above Giovanneli's for six months after graduating and was a fan of their buffalo chicken pizza. One time I went down the street to Paulie's because their pizza was better, bigger, and cheaper (are they even still there anymore), and the guy who worked in Gio's saw me coming back with a pizza box from somewhere else and was asking me why I went somewhere else haha.

Papa John's is okay. It is just generic overpriced pizza, but for the life of me I don't understand how chain restaurants like Papa John's and Pizza Hut don't have subs. That is a deal breaker for me and plus the local places around me are way better at the same price.

I thought this thread was going to discuss the great game of Dominoes! Challenging, competitive, entertaining.

If you are ordering your pizza from any retail chain store you should be ashamed of yourself.
