I emailed him 2x regarding a couple of things and never got a response. However, I have a feeling he's an extremely busy man at this time.
Yeah, but were those couple of things anywhere near as important as the chicken fingers? I highly doubt it. The only thing more important than chicken fingers would be ensuring that HCCA continues to be provided with a Honda Accord.
The pretzels have been pretty weak. If they were reliably hot, that would help.
This isn't really a comment about RU concessions so much as a general comment. I find it amazing that nobody seems to have figured out a way to have good, hot, well-prepared food at sports events. It's not that hard to do. Especially at the price point.
Use of the acronym "HCCA" needs to be a ban-able offense.

I will say that getting rid of Hermann,and Kirchner was a solid step in the right direction for RU athletics without question.Hermann should have never been hired in the first place and caused negative media from her hire date..

roc--I'm been a season ticket holder for both bball and fb for over 30 years and attend virtually every game even though its almost a 2 hour drive-- you and Bac are full of crap--yeah she made her obligatory 5 minute hello pregame fb and then went into hiding and attended some bball games--anyway , this message was about hobbs' effectiveness but if you two still need to defend a fired failure--I have NEVER seen her mingle with students at a bball game and she has never walked up the aisles saying hello to fans and I sit in the 100's--and I've been to golfing fund raisers since I give with my wallet rather than my mouth as you two excuses do and she was a poor presence--and yes hobbs is BY FAR a completely better rep for RU--barchi and every other real donor/fan acknowledges that

@ru66, Hermann certainly had a propensity for sticking her foot in her mouth, which contributed to her perception problem, and didn't help with addressing the overall perception problem for Rutgers Athletics, which goes back well before Hermann's arrival. In this regard, Hobbs certainly seems much better.
But there are a zillion other responsibilities for an AD. We'll have to see how Hobbs does with those.

I support Hobbs and I think he will do a great fundraising and doing stuff that Julie wouldn't be able to do. I never waver in that thought. However your assertion that Julie didn't interact with fans is false and there was more than a 5 minute hello at game....and I wished I saved it and I will look diligently for it to give me proof but there was a pic I saw of Julie hi fiving the student section at the RAC. Hobbs is interacting and that's great and he needs to because he has only been on the job two months. He has to get to know people. Julie did that too at all the R events and at the Big 10 celebration day at the stadium or did you miss that. Part of my big defense of Julie was people saying things that weren't true and saying she didn't interact was simply false.
You continually bring her up in every post you make..and long as you keep doing it I am going to refute you with facts. It seems like you haven't moved on from Julie because you continually bring her up. I have moved on, do you see me bring up any threads talking about her, the only time I post about her is when someone else already brings up . I support Hobbs he is my AD. He was brought into fundraise and its going to happen.
People here still bash Gruninger, same for Mulcahy (well, mostly from you), same for Pernetti. Julie is gonna get bashed, you might as well get used to it.
Wish all those bashes would end and everyone move into the present instead of bringing up ADs they don't like. Bob, Tim and Julie had their good points that are overlooked by those stressing what ( right or wrong) they consider what they did wrong or didn't do at all.
Fred has been gone long enough for every RU fan from that era to just look at those days as missed opportunities, but realize since that happened ( or didn't) Rutgers athletics has had enough time to have overcome that if RU had the support of it's alumni like some other schools do.
Sometimes it's best to point the finger inwards than blame the ADs for everything.

That and they need to weed out the dishonest kids working the concession stands on the East concourse.
More than one occasion at different games and at different concession stands the Change given back was less than the correct change ...normally a buck or two was pocketed.
As a current student whom regularly goes to the basketball games, I talked to Hermann multiple times in the stands. Actually, my first time ever meeting her was the season before my freshman year, when I talked to her in the stands. When I was working on interviewing coaches/admins in the athletic department (Eddie, Luicci, Flood, Hermann, etc.) She made sure I was able to get my interviews and was a pleasure to work with.
She certainly had her issues, but it's also worth noting that neither of the "major" coaching failures of the past few seasons (Flood, Jordan) were on her.
I look forward to seeing what Hobbs can do, but I fail to see the point in falsely badmouthing someone who lost their job/livelihood. There are legitimate grievances against her leadership, but I for one was never unhappy to work with her.
Chris Ash got his Escalade as all the RU coaches have gotten, but instead of red, it's black. Saw it in the Hale Center parking lot.

Our main sports are a disaster because of TP yet we've never been better with both soccer teams and wrestling.
All cars should be black. Every car but my very first was black. As it should be.
The thing is we used the acronym "HCRE" to poke fun at Edsall, hence, using it for Ash is demeaning IMHO.
