We need someone who can throw it deep more than anything. We have sorely missed someone who can do it for years. Vedral just couldn’t put it down field well with his arm strength and Wimsatt and Simon are wildly inaccurate deep. And when there’s no threat of throwing it deep, defense can focus more on short and medium throws making that even more difficult. We have speedy guys with Ledgister and Braithwaite who can get past a safety. Just having that threat can open up the passing game big time.
Also need a better offensive line so there’s actually time for deep throws.

Maybe Donovan Smith (6'5" 230lb Sophomore) or Behren Morton (6'2" 210lb Freshman) that both have decent game experience (passing and running) might be entering the transfer portal after spring practice.

Donovan Smith went into the portal awhile back and committed to Houston.

Who in their right mind would risk their career by coming to RU as an OC unless you are an OC at a lower level school looking to take a big leap. I think what happened to Gleeson(very well thought of prior to his time at RU) sends up red flags everywhere and a lower level OC is the best they can hope for.

Who in their right mind would risk their career by coming to RU as an OC unless you are an OC at a lower level school looking to take a big leap. I think what happened to Gleeson(very well thought of prior to his time at RU) sends up red flags everywhere and a lower level OC is the best they can hope for.

Gleeson came from Oklahoma State. He wasn't forced to leave there

I believe all the names in this thread had subscriptions to playboy in every frat on campus.

I was outside one on a nice day in the fall talking to a friend when some man comes up and asks for Ben Dover. The guys just looked at each other and laughed and the guy looks down at his list of names (from which to collect subscription fees) and shakes his head and walks away. I think one guy offered that it was probably summer renters who did it and are long gone.

Back in the day I used to listen to 105.5 out of Dover, New Jersey. The weather guy was named Ben Dover.
