Favorite and Least Favorite replies on this board

Reading through posts here, you tend to see the same replies over and over. I was wondering if anyone has favorites, or has replies that drive you nuts. I will give two examples of each, and we'll see how long this goes before someone says something awful to a specific poster and gets it locked. Hopefully that doesn't happen.

Favorites:
Spanky "Oh boy"-It brings me so much joy. Not even sure why.
Gina Carano lip bite-What can I say, I'm a guy.

Least Favorites:
"Who?" any time a post about someone who used to be here is made. You definitely know who. This reaction is tired.
"I said this x months ago..." to prove you knew before everyone else. Why the need to self promote, like there are points here?

Mentioning something like “NCAA is really going to come down hard on ETSU after a Tennessee scandal.” That joke was funny once maybe 20 years ago and has been tired ever since.

I'll call myself out and say I actually do the x months ago thing from time to time and it's not self promote. I'm anything but that, have called myself Joe Nobody Idiot, scatterbrained, simple guy and airhead just this morning lol. What do you get for being right or being wrong, no positive happens in my life if I'm right and no negative if I'm wrong. You can look no further than my screenname to see how "generic" I prefer to be. I've mentioned how I prefer not to start threads unless I think some new bit of interesting info or something others may be interested might be worthwhile. I like to come and chat/debate but not looking for attention.

I say something like that less to promote myself and more to say anyone who thinks this is some original idea etc..it's not. Others whether it's me or anyone else have thought of it, it's nothing special. Some dredge up old posts to say look I was right. I replied in a post like that recently to say how I thought the same thing with a lot more detail of how things could play out and nothing special in what I said and if you paid attention to stuff anyone could see how things could play out. No big deal to my thoughts or yours. The other reason I say it is to point out when people say things that may be off the beaten path, don't just brush it off as dumb or stupid but have convo/debate about it. There are way out of left field stuff that gets posted at times and I either will debate the point or not reply. I don't call whatever the idea is dumb or stupid even if I think it's very unlikely. I'll just say it's unlikely and give the reasoning.

Best: anything from kyk from BBall last year because he was insanely off on his takes and it was spectacular to see his “amazing” declarations dug up days, weeks, and months later

Least: anything from kyk as dude was way off and never admitted how off he was, just would double and triple down. Earned him a place on my small ignore list because he eventually became a troll.

Best: info from people that have legit inside connections, even when it doesn’t always end up happening exactly as they were told

Least:
- Pike can’t recruit.
- Pretty much any post that attempts to put a wet rag on how amazing the past 3 basketball seasons were for RU! (For example, yeah it was good but… “need to aim higher”, “we shouldn’t be content with just making the ncaas”, etc etc. Yeah yeah valid points but sounds like from people that were previously fans of UNC or any other team always making the tourney and became RU fans 2.1 seasons ago.)
- Overreactions or mood swings from game to game or worse is in the middle of games (no chance I read in game threads).

Almost forgot another worst….
- “This is a dumb thread”. “Why do we care about this” thread, etc etc. Just do NOT open threads you don’t care about and definitely do NOT post in threads you don’t care about!

I agree with you on these selections. Especially “who?” Basically passive aggressively saying I don’t care about the person yet I clicked on the thread anyway.

Great point. Subway is completely played, but worst case scenario/we're doomed still gets a smile from me. Not sure of the difference, but I agree with you.

I like game threads too regardless of what anyone says. I try to talk down people who might jump off the deep end a little too soon or go crazy but whatever that's their prerogative. Sports is emotional and you'll get real time emotion in a game thread, it's okay.

Same token don't particular care for most look at me accusations. I never think of most here doing that including one of our most famous (infamous) posters. It's not FB or YT where you get money for people looking at you, so there's no point. I just see it as overexuberance or way out there thinking and if it's outlandish I don't reply and if it's something worth debating I will but I don't accuse or ridicule. There's no point in that either.

Nothing is more irksome than posters who only come rolling in with snide remarks when there is some bad or negative news so to speak. Such as a commit who goes elsewhere or even when one of the teams is having a really poor performance. Yet never heard from when there's a good get on the recruiting trail or an RU team is balling out.

Love the lookalikes- the Haiku- not my thing but don’t read or comment- wish goes back to a hate- people that go into a thread to say it is stupid, waste of time and doesn’t belong.
