That would be a big disappointment for a guy people listed for every jobThink PJ to Cinci would be a score for a Midwest guy and his family
Also, Taggart is being pushed to Oregon by Tony Dungy and Harbaugh. Didn't think he'd leave with a roster full of juniors but it's quite possible he does rather than waiting another year
Agree, but it helps to use the other guy for leverage. Why go from one G5 school to another? just renegotiate where you are.
Agreed. That's why I think he should take Houston if offered. Prove it there like herman did and you can move to an elite P5 job.Willie Taggart was in their top two, while that is a long Bus Ride, I am sure he can make it.
Some people on this site like Fleck a lot more than the power 5 schools do, btw. If you haven't notice.

It's a better springboard. Cincy had Brian Kelly (ND), Dantonia (MSU) and Butch Jones (Tenn), who all (I think) HC'd at lower levels.I don't think Temple or Cincy are upgrades for PJ. They are similar to the school he's at. Why leave to go to the AAC. He should only leave for a P5.
Rhule declined Oregon for Baylor. Wow. That's something if true. I see him as pretty risky, and those are both schools that I thought would go for a proven commodity.

Al Golden used Temple to go to Miami, and not Rhule to Baylor.
I read in the Sporting News article that Cincy is pretty well stocked and has 2 great young QBs, so that would be a good landing spot. At Temple, the HC has Anthony Russo, who is going to light it up. Heck, if Flood gets the Temple job, he can bring Mike Dare, Chris Laviano and Hayden Rettig too! Those Cinci guys were all in the BE/BCS days, before Cinci got demoted to G5 status. Don't think they can be used to prove that point.
Might still be a better spot than WMU, but seems pretty risky after a few years in the AAC/G5 and coming off a 4-8 season. Is he losing that much talent at WMU where he's liable to slip that far? If not, I'd stay put rather than going into a shaky situation at Cinci. Temple might be better, but maybe not with the QB moving on.
They're definitely upgrades, but not the kind you leave for. If he was at Delaware and was being courted by WMU, Temple, or Cinci, WMU is definitely the third choice. But to uproot yourself when you clearly have your eyes set on a Power 5 job? Unlikely. I don't think either school would want him for that same reason.I don't think Temple or Cincy are upgrades for PJ. They are similar to the school he's at. Why leave to go to the AAC. Joe Morehead to Temple makes some sense.
Hey, who doesn't like morehead?
I can only see the first as being true.Rumors I read (take them for what they're worth)
Oklahoma OC is going to get Houston job over Miles
Fleck not interested in Cincy. only (understandably) wants P5 or nothing
Kiffin to USF if Taggart gets Oregon
Rhule was offered Oregon but declined (!)
He's young. They love him at WMU. Another year at WMU would not be so bad.Jmho
Fleck not getting a P5 job would be a major fail for him.
He simply can't take a Go5 job (lateral move).
Ending back at WMU would be embarrassing.
LOL! So Hayden can signal plays to Chris? I hope Hayden gets to show his stuff next year where ever he ends up.I read in the Sporting News article that Cincy is pretty well stocked and has 2 great young QBs, so that would be a good landing spot. Would not be surprised if Laviano or Rettig or Dare wind up at Temple.
he doesnt even need leverage. western michigan is different than other mac schools they have billionaire donors. the detroit news already reported that donors were willing to raise is pay to 2 to 2.5 a year. new rumor this week is week is they are willing to go to 3. western michigan has never seen fan support like this before. they brought 50,000 fans to the mac championship game.Agree, but it helps to use the other guy for leverage.
I remember in his first year when they were losing (they went 1-11) and he was pushing the row the boat and the third down clock arm thing, the comments on Michigan Live were merciless and they wanted to run him out of town. Winning cures all ills and heals all wounds. . . . .he doesnt even need leverage. western michigan is different than other mac schools they have billionaire donors. the detroit news already reported that donors were willing to raise is pay to 2 to 2.5 a year. new rumor this week is week is they are willing to go to 3. western michigan has never seen fan support like this before. they brought 50,000 fans to the mac championship game.
We heard the same thing about keeping Hermann at Houston. And those donors were real.he doesnt even need leverage. western michigan is different than other mac schools they have billionaire donors. the detroit news already reported that donors were willing to raise is pay to 2 to 2.5 a year. new rumor this week is week is they are willing to go to 3. western michigan has never seen fan support like this before. they brought 50,000 fans to the mac championship game.
