Flood booed

He sucks. What did you expect?

His whole M.O. was being a good, respectful guy and he proved to be the complete opposite. He showed that he had 0 control of his players and that he would violate the honor/ethics code when his back was against the wall.

...People don't take too kindly to that unless you are winning NCs and we are the furthest thing from that at this point in time.

Yes but how are things really different from what they've alwats been under flood? How many years ago did he get his ass handed to him on homecoming by Kent state?

They are. People don't want to except the fact, or finally are excepting the fact, that last year was a season on the shoulders of an offense with a ton of experience, including a 3+ year starting quarterback, who are now gone, and that our recruiting the past few years has severely hurt our depth in a lot of position groups. it's going to be a long season, we may get shut out a couple of times, and some teams, including Indiana and even Martland, are going to put a lot of points up on our defense.

A lot of us were holding out hope that all the diamonds in the rough we're going to explode on the scene. ...and nobody saw email gate and barrage of player arrests coming.

The extreme lack of depth at most positions is alarming. It's time to move on

Listen, I understand the "holding out hope" about "diamonds in the rough," WE'RE FANS, I get it, BUT...

....you can't have back-to-back-to-back classes as such, and expect more than a handful of these types, to actually come to fruition. The problem here on these boards, however, is that many posters - and understandably so, we're fans, you want to "think" the best, all the time, in the recruiting game - were conned into thinking that just about every kid in those 3 classes were "diamonds in the rough," "hidden gems," or that Flood simply had a "great eye for talent," and the fact that these kids weren't getting any other P offers, or many at all if they did, was that "they shut down their recruitment." Well...Bobby D, for 3 years, kept telling us that you "can't sustain a program with classes like this, in this conference, and especially in this division" - as did many of us = and unfortunately we're starting to see the effect that those classes are going to have.

IMHO the suspensions and injuries really haven't hurt us too much because, as you can clearly see now, it's our lack of quality depth (which YOU point out...), in too many position groups, that's going to kill us this year and, ugh, maybe for a few more. . This sucks, it really, really sucks. I don't think I've been this worried, following a win, in a long time.

wishful thinking bac? Did not hear a single boo. You guys are just greased up an ready to unload on the slightest thing. This board has become a disgusting trash heap of pissing and moaning over everything.
Tons of booing, really loud in my section. Good job by the few fans at the game!

Booing? That's a shameful display of a lack of loyalty. It is no more than self-righteous pettiness.

Let's face it. It's always that way when things aren't going well. It's unfortunate, but it's nothing new.

Clear booing coming from my section into the old end zone section. Not sure what game you were at.

I wish I could've been there, I would've been booing my ass off, thank goodness for margaritas.

unless you were one of the fifty or less who booed it was a non event--of course, if they even went to the game, those traditionally who bitch on here may have been the booers

Yeah, attack a random guy on a message board and not the guy responsible for this mess...I'm a fan, my family has been for a LONG time. I think I've earned the right to boo when I see a bunch of crap.

Kyle Flood isn't a good head coach, why we continue to pay him and hope that he will suddenly become one is beyond me.

There was very noticeable booing during the Flood commercial in a stadium of 45,000+ people, and anyone claiming it was just a few people needs to get their hearing checked. Personally, despite the good cause I'm not interested in seeing the suspended head coach on the stadium's large scoreboard during this game. One could even argue that it was an unnecessary distraction to the team/acting head coach, not to mention technically contravening the university's own decision to allow Flood zero contact with the team on game days.

As I said, I'm out of state, so I couldn't boo in person...but I'll admit I did boo at my TV, lol. It seems you enjoy our suckiness, I choose not to...thank goodness for margaritas, lol

no I enjoy RU winning--some seem proud that they "recognize" our teams faults

Well atleast we agree on something, I enjoy winning too...unfortunately we won't do much of that with Flood as head coach.
