I'm speaking for the regular FB fan growing up in my North Jersey.....thats MY and OUR tradition...can't speak for you or someone in the Pacific Northwest....the bowls on NYD are great...i love them...but remember...its all about money. History in FB was started right here...but face it....January is not really inseason....its hoops season...its why its called postseason..

I agree January isn't "in season" but it has always been post season...college and pro. Some of you think this is new. It been that way in the game forever.
I grew up in NJ and live in Bucks County PA. I have no clue why you think I live in the Pacific Northwest.
I was at the NFC Championship game at the Meadowlands where Bill Parcells won the toss and kicked off in '87. It was 10 degrees and windy on the way to the Giants 1st Super Bowl.
The Giants won because they could play defense, run the ball and weren't pussies because it wasn't in a dome.

But they have been playing college football on New Year Day for over 100 years.

It was a dumb post. You said that football wasn't designed to be played in the winter. Wrong. That if it was it should start in the winter. Wrong again. You have such little knowledge of the history of the sport that both points are dumb. Read about the history of the sport sometime

Actually both Pro and college football seasons start in the fall and most of the college schedule is played during the Fall. Same with the pros
Late December is when winter officially starts.

I never said it wasn't played in the winter, only that it started in the fall.

Nothing said wasn't true and my point was valid: Football starts in the fall ( to be technical , some times in the Summer because Fall starts around 9/01 and ends around 11/30 . Some games are scheduled before 9/01)

fall starts 9/21. Games start at end of August. So nearly 1 month is played in the summer.

Yet you fail to see idiots that wants to be only played in warm weather. It has never been played that way. Its a 3 season sport. Look back and I've said that all along but the crybabies on this board don't want it that way. They cry it should be played in domes. Or favorable weather.

All I said was football started in the fall and mainly was played ikn it and you went on a rant like I was disagreeing with you.
I never claimed it wasn't played in winter, so wasn't attacking your POV.
Did attack how you reply to those you disagree with .
As for disagreeing with you, where is my pointing out football is played mainly in the fall and winter starting late December arguing with you.
You look for things that aren't there and then act like you are surrounded by enemies and need to defend yourself.
Just because someone adds something to the conversation you failed to address, don't make like it goes against the what you said.
